Friday Blog Project

Morning everyone - Gaynor here from the Little Claire Design Team.  I asked our daughter Vicky for ideas for my project card - she kindly suggested I make her a graduation card...............so here it is.  Full of very  mixed emotions - she flies to New Zealand early on Sunday morning to work on a dairy farm for up to a year...............this card needless to say did take me a little while to make..........so proud of her and love her so so much :)

Anyhow on with the card:  I have used an 8" x 8" scalloped card base.

The backing papers are from LOTV.  Brads, ribbon and clear adhesive stones from "the stash!"  The die is from Xcut.

I have used a rounded corner punch for interest and edged the stamped image with a lime green promarker.

I stamped the rosette out twice on papers used in the card design......matted and layered using 3d pads onto black card for definition.

Used a fineliner for faux stitching and a little glitter glue.......

Close up of the stamp sets used.......................

Hope you have enjoyed a share in my little make................Please check out the Little Claire Website lots of fab new products, plus the gallery is updated regularly.  We are off out this evening for a cheerio and well done family meal....................best take the tissues and wear waterproof mascara!

Love

There are 9 new sticker sheets in total, all on our web now and they represent great value for money too!

Would you like to win all 9 of the new stickers?  Here's how (totally unrelated) but we were thinking recently what is your scariest SPIDER moment?  I'm sure we all have one - mine is we used to live in Germany and the washing machine was kept down in the cellar, well one day (when Steve was away - typical) I ran down, always ran to avoid cobwebs etc, put washing in, quickly opened the drawer to add powder and there, filling up the whole drawer was the biggest spider I have ever seen!  I did scream, ran back upstairs and it took mw ages to go back again, so pleased that my machine is now in the kitchen..........

Let us know your scariest spider moment(s) and we will draw 3 lucky winners to each win all 9 new stickers!
Entries to be received by Monday O1 July 2013........ x

Animal Magic Class

Darling Daschunds

A big thank you to all the ladies who came along to our two Little Claire card classes on Saturday - in the morning it was 'Animal Magic' and in the afternoon 'Get Into Shape'.

These are the cards that we made in the 'Animal Magic' class, all designed by Helen N.

This first card (above) was made using the 'Darling Daschunds' stamp set which you can find here on the Little Claire website.  The stamps in the set feature daschunds of various sizes and the sentiment is included too.

This next card was made using 'Tulip Cat' stamp which you can find here on the website.

After that a card made with the very cute 'Elephants in Squares' stamp which you can find here on the website. The squares were stamped twice and two of them decoupaged on top of the main image.

Next an easel card made with one of the new Little Claire stamps, 'Mice in Squares' which you can find here on the website.  We also used one of the new 'Postcard Sentiments' (which you can find here on the website) stamped on to a small piece of kraft card as a 'stopper' for the easel.

And finally a little bit of paper piecing and some cute hedgehogs!  For this card we used 'Splishing and Splashing' which you can find here on the website and I paper pieced the umbrella.

We will share the cards made at the 'Get Into Shape' class later in the week.

We have lots more great classes coming up throughout the remainder of the year - all the details are on our website here.

Fridays Blog Project - Scallop Circle Easel Card

Hi everyone and hope you all ok...
Its Lozzy here with this weeks Little Claire's Weekly Project for you. I have made a circle easel card and have used one of Little Claire's digi image's called Bee Follower's

I am also using a 'Just been Released' stamp set and these are called 'Postcard Greetings'...which are great.

To make this card i have used

Little Claire's = Bee Follower's digi
Little Claire's = Postcard Sentiment stamps
Papers are Maja Designs Life in the Country
X cut scallop and round circles die's
X cut flower die's
yellow and white card
used a 5 x 5 card blank
Pro Markers used = blush, tulip yellow, green, cool grey 1, arctic blue, rose pink

First i start by using my Cuttle Bug with the die's and get everything cut out. Print of the digi image then colour the lovely Bee's in with Pro markers plus stamp out one of the Postcard Sentiments. Have used one that's says "100% wonderful"

To get the main shape i used the 5 x 5 card blank and a large scallop circle die. Place the die so it overhangs a bit, then cut out.

The top of the card is then folded in half and the other large circle die that you cut out is only glued on the bottom half then you stick it to the bottom half of the folded front. After that i start gluing everything together and us a fine liner pen to add crosses and lines around the top and bottom part of the card.

I use Collall glue for gluing the papers and Silicone Glue to add the flowers to the card and to raze the Postcard sentiment up a bit so it holds the front of the card up. Used green card Candi to the center of the flowers and shaped the flowers a bit to give them a 3D look.

After that i came up with this lovely easel card

I hope i have inspired you into making a easel card plus if you are in need of some great products please don't forget to stop by Little Claire's shop...you wont be disappointed as they have lots of gorgeous products.
Don't forget this months "Male" themed challenge we are having..... Would love to see your designs.

Take Care
