Little Claire Friday Project

Hello to you all, My share today is a first for me at Little Claire's....
It's the Friday Project
I have decided to show how you can make a background for all the lovely silhouette stamps that are
available from Little Claire

I first started by gathering all I needed

After stamping my image onto my card  with some black Versafine ink I punched a 2 inch circle to use as a mask for the moon, you can place this wherever you like

Using Faded Jeans distress ink and a sponge start inking the card around the image and moon making sure you hold the moon mask firmly, I have left some free of ink where I think the moon is shining.

I have also gone around the top corners with Festive Berries distress ink to give some depth to the image.

To get the effect of clouds across the moon I have picked some ink up on a cotton bud and simply  wiped it across.

I then assembled everything and this is the end result.

Supplies used
 Stamp-Meadow Girl
Backing Paper DCWV Floral Foliage
Postcard Sentiment Stamp
Versafine Ink
Ranger Distress Ink Faded Jeans and Festive Berries
2 inch circle punch
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Coredinations

Friday Project-Birds in Squares

Morning guys, Diane here with a lovely spring friday project for you using "Birds in Squares" digi download.

Little Claire has some fab digi downloads which are just right for paper piecing as you can make them any size you like.

You will need,
 some white card,
a piece of white copier paper,
4 pieces of patterned paper in yellow, green, pink and blue,
3d foam tape /pads,
ribbon,
white gel pen,
 promarkers

Print your image onto a A4 piece of white card on the right hand side.  Also onto a piece of white copier paper.

Next print your image onto a piece of green and yellow patterned paper.

Using the white copier paper and using small pieces of patterned paper print all the small elements you want to paper piece ie the birds, fence flowers leaves etc and cut out.

Now onto white card print just the two big birds, large flower head and large heart and paper piece. Also print your sentiment, I have used Little Claire's digi super sentiment 8 and coloured the small elements using promarkers.

Next paper piece your other elements onto the yellow patterned paper, omitting the large birds, heart and flower.

Cut round each square and glue to green patterned paper.

Then glue this to your white card which will be your card base.

Score in half leaving a small margin on left hand side and trim.

Now mount your birds, heart and flower head onto 3d foam and attach to front of card. Finish off by adding a bow and the round sentiment to side of card and a with a white gel pen colour the dots on the heart and birds wings.

 One lovely spring birthday card.

Here is another card using the same technique, but with  "Sleeping Doggie" and super sentiment 7. This time the fold is at the top  and I have cut round the chair to make a shaped card.

So why not give paper piecing a go using the digi stamps !!

hugs Diane xx

Book Owl
We just love our stickers, so handy to have not just for when you want to make a quick card (but of course really useful for that!) but they just make fantastic cards, looking like they have been stamped but without any of the mess, here's a card from Heidi - she has attached the sticker to white card, coloured (really easy to stay inside the lines) and then matt and layered her card, and very nice it is too!

designed by Heidi
We have a great sheet of Hot Air Balloons:

and again, lovely card samples:
