I`ve made this card using a topper from the cutest set of images I`ve ever seen and I`m keen to get to work making things with the rest of the set. For those of you who don`t like cats there is a set of puppies which are equally cute.

Cut the Dovecraft printed paper to 14cm square, mat and layer onto the pink card, stick to the centre of the 6" x 6" base card.

Cut the Nit Wit pink gingham paper to 12.7cm x 6.5cm and mat and layer onto the pink card.
Secure the yellow satin ribbon to the gingham and pink card topper, remember to secure the ribbon around the back to make a neat edge.
Stick the gingham and pink topper onto the base card.

Mat and layer the Irresistible Image of the three kittens in a tea cup onto the pink card and stick the topper onto the base card.

Using the "Have a Purrfect Birthday" stamp from the Wavy Cats stamp set and the black Versa Fine ink pad stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of white card.
Cut the sentiment to size and draw around the cut edges with the pale pink felt pen.
Stick the sentiment onto the gingham paper on the base card.

Using the Marianne Designs die and the LC Designs blue/green Masculine Dots paper make 1 x die cut from the front of the paper and 1 x die cut from the back of the paper (run the second die cut through the machine without the die to flatten down the cut edges.
Chop into the die cut flourishes to make the best design on your base card and stick into place.
Stick the 3 x medium roses onto the base card.

Make a bow from the satin ribbon and stick onto the base card.
Stick the small yellow rose to the centre of the bow.

Punch out 4 x small pink hearts and colour over the top with the pale pink felt tip pen to darken the pink slightly, stick the hearts onto the base card.

Punch out 2 x large dots from the pink gingham paper using the large hole punch.
Bevel the dots and stick onto the base card.

Monthly Challenge Inspiration-Lisa

Morning All! It’s Lisa here with a quick reminder of our current monthly challenge and a closer look at my challenge project.

The theme of our current challenge is ‘Butterflies’ and you can find all the details on the challenge post, here on the blog. We would love to see your cards entered in the challenge and there's a fabulous prize on offer for the winner!

For my challenge project I’ve used Dinkies Spikey Flower stamp:

spikey-flower

Here is my card:

Spikey Flowers (3)

Supplies:

Step by Step:
  1. Cut a 13.5cm square piece of blue butterfly paper and then die cut a circle from the centre of the piece (the hole will be covered later).
  2. Mat the patterned paper square onto lemon, then pale blue card. Doodle a border around the patterned paper and fix to the card blank.
  3. Add a strip of yellow ribbon across the lower part of the card blank and the sentiment to the lower left.
  4. Stamp the flowers onto the left of the circle of patterned paper, stamp a second time to the right of the circle. Dot white acrylic paint onto the flowers and leave to dry.
  5. Colour  the white dots with a yellow alcohol marker and add grass with a green alcohol marker. Add glitter glue and Glossy Accents to the flowers.
  6. Mat the circle onto a circle die cut from lemon card, then a fancy circle die cut from pale blue card and fix to the card blank using foam pads (this will hide the hole made in step 1).
  7. Die cut two butterflies from lemon card and fix to the right edge of the fancy circle.
  8. Decorate with a ribbon bow, a pearl flower and pearls to the butterfly bodies and corner of the cards.

I hope you like my project and are inspired to try something similar. My blog is www.craftingbelle.blogspot.com if you would like to see some more projects.

Thanks for stopping by

Lisa

Thursday Blog Project from Susan R

Hi Susan R here

Today I am showing you my Thursday Project for LC Designs

I am spotlighting something old and something new!!

Something Old

First I want to share with you a journalling page - the background involves layers of mister spray, color burst powder, distress inks and some Irresistible images.
But on top there are images from the very first Little Claire stamp set I bought!
These butterflies and sentiments were stamped on wrinkle free distressed card and distressed around the edges with 'Mowed Lawn'.

But now for something new...

This little robin stamp has now been released...see below!
I have used it to make two different cards...

First the Mini scalloped card blanks were matted with Mini papers (currently on sale!!)

I embossed the image using Versamark and red embossing powder.
I then used Distress Inks as watercolour to paint the robins...

I then cut them out with nesting dies. For the sentiments -
the first was the sentiment that came with the robin, the second I printed on the computer - and I edged these with a border die.

Two cute little cards!

Happy Crafting!

Sarah's Monthly Blog Challenge Inspiration

Good Morning Everyone!

For the Team Challenge # 69 - Butterflies, I have used the lovely Butterfly Tree Stamp Set and the Paper Pack Floating Butterflies. I decided on the lovely blue paper and selected my pen and watercolour to match.

I used ProMarker Pens and Distress Ink (with a water filled brush - to create the watercolour effect) to colour the tree. I punched out the large butterfly shape and added blue pearls to match the colour theme. So pleased with how this turned out!

The prize for this challenge is:

Defo worth entering! Details can be found here.
Thanks for looking,
Sarah x
