Weekly Blog Project - Dinky Camellia Book Card

Hello, Heidi here to share another Friday Blog Project with you.

I have made a small book card, using one of the new 'Dinky' stamps 'Camellia'.  This cute little stamp is great for decoupaging and edging, as I have shown on my little card.

Here is the front of the little book.  It measures : 8cms x 8cms.  It is great to make using lots of spare scrap white card and some left-over dotty white ribbon.

I have cut out three of the flowers, these form the central element. I have coloured them in with Promarker's and then stuck them on top of each other using sticky pads.  Lastly, adding glossy accents.

Here are the products used :

Little Claire 'Dinky - Camellia' stamp - from website HERE
Little Claire 'Sweetest Wishes' Stamp Set - from website HERE
White A4 card scrap pieces
Dotty White Ribbon
Memento 'Rich Cocoa' Inkpad
Promarker's - Putty, Sandstone Pink, Khaki, Pastel Beige & Mustard
Glossy Accents
Small white pearls
Strong double-sided tape
Score-board and tool

(1) Stamp up three of the images onto white card (shown below), colour in.
(2) Cut three white squares measuring : 7cms x 7cms.  Stamp up image centrally, colour in.
(3) Cut another square : 7cms x 7cms, stamp images over two corners, colour in as before. Add small sentiment.

(4) Cut four oblongs to measure : 6.5cms x 1cms.  Score vertically at each 1cm increments. Score edges well.

(5) Fit in edges together, as shown tightly.  Stick together using strong double-sided tape and edge with inkpad.

(6) Cut the base of the book-card in white card.  This measures : 8cms x 17cms.    .
(7) Score at  8cms and  9cms, score edges well.
(8) Edge with the brown inkpad
(9) Stick one of the coloured image squares to back of frame, stick inside book.
(10) Stick two of the pre-cut flowers together with sticky pads.  Stick into frame.
(11) Attach ribbon to back of square and stick down to front of book.

(12) Stick other panel inside front cover.
(13) Add frame centrally to inside, over stamped images, stick well.
(14) Ensuring all elements are stuck down, add pearls and glossy accents, leave to dry overnight.

I do hope you have enjoyed my little blog project today.  Please feel free to leave me a comment.
