Babies Are Such as Nice Way To Start People .....

Today we've got another great blog project for you and this week it's from Gaynor who has used the super cute 'Babies Are Such a Nice Way to Start People' stamp set to make this lovely card.  You can find the set here on the Little Claire website.

Here's what you need to make the card:

Little Claire 'Babies Are Such a Nice Way to Start People' stamp set

Pale blue gingham paper

blue card

Nellies Square Scallop Dies

Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad

Promarkers - Pastel Blue, Caramel, Cool Grey 1, Pastel Beige, Blender Pen

3D form pads - small and large

double sided tape

6 small baby blue pearls

148mm by 148mm white card

And here's what you need to do:

Random stamp elements onto white card and shade using Promarkers:

Stamp wording, romper suit and teddy onto stamping cardstock. 

Trim romper suit and words to size.  Carefully edge all sides using pastel blue pro marker

Stamp clothing, and cap onto blue checked paper and cut out to mat onto stamped image.

Fix panel to card.  Fix die cut frames onto the card using 3D pads.  Add teddy and cap using 3D pads.  Finally add adhesive pearls and outline main image in Cool Grey 1 to add definition.

Some Lovely Cards and a Last Chance to Book!

A big thank you to everyone who came to our stands at the weekend at the shows in Manchester and Stevenage - it was great to see you all and we hoped you enjoyed the show.

We've got some cards to share with you today from Heidi and Helen who were demoing on our stands at the shows.

First of all, a couple of cards from Heidi.  This great stepper card uses 'Sunday Morning' from the new Claire's Super Six Collection as well as the buttons from 'Georgina's Buttons and Stitching Stamp Set' and one of the sentiments from our 'Sentiment Mix' set:

We still have some places left on our classes on 25 February - 'Made for Men' and 'Butterfly Tree'.  The classes will be taking place in Irby (we'll give you more details when you book) and you can either come to one class or both.  The classes are either between 9am and 12pm or 1.00pm and 4.00pm and you can come to one or both.  Everything is provided - you just need to bring your own lunch.  Each class costs £20 or if you come to both there's a special price of £35.

New on the Website and New Class Dates!

Are you going to the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza at Harrogate next month?  Details of the breakfast workshops running on both days with Little Claire have just been added to the Craftwork Cards website if you'd like to book.

Our class is called 'Little Claire's Lovelies'.

Be the first in the country to work with this brand new stamp range, the beautiful 'Flossies'. Make a bunch of wonderful cards with stamps, papers, die cut images and ribbons. Use Pro-Markers to colour and shade your designs and add some faux stitching to create your own range of Little Claire cards. Leave with 4-5 cards, the new exclusive Litte Claire catalogue, a discount voucher to use at the show and Little Claire goodies!

Cost of Little Claire workshop is £12, pay a non-refundable deposit of £4 when booking and the balance of £8 on day of workshop.

We've also just added two new classes here on the Wirral to the website - both of them on Saturday 10 March.  Each class will run in the morning and the afternoon so you've got the choice of coming to one or both. 

Our first class is called "Garden and Flowers" and will be a selection of beautiful cards using our new Garden Collection stamps.  Then we  have "The Best of Little Claire" when we'll be sharing cards made with a selection of favourite Little Claire stamps.

Each class costs £20 but if you're coming to both classes, there's a special offer price of £35.  All materials are included plus tea and coffee during the day but you'll need to bring your own lunch.

Finally, brand new on the website we have three great die cut sheets.  Each sheet has six images and costs only £1.00 - great if you want to make a quick card or just want a pre-coloured image!

Weekly Blog Project - Door Hanger

Today we've got a gorgeous blog project for you from Donna - this beautiful door hanger made with our "And So to Bed" stamp.  Donna has used lovely spring colours on it - perfect for cheering everyone up on a cold, grey winter's day!

Here's what you'll need to make the project:

Little Claire 'And So to Bed' stamp which you'll find here on the website

blue card and pink paper

patterned paper

circle and scalloped circle dies or punches

border punch

embellishments and lettering of your choice

white card for stamping which you'll find here on the website

And here's what you need to do:

1. Round off the corners of a piece of card measuring 8 1/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches.

2. Punch or die cut a circle out of the card near the top as shown and punch or die cut a scalloped ring in co-ordinating paper or card.  Stick over the cut out circle:

 3. Cut a piece of patterned paper to measure 5 inches by 1 3/4 inches and edge with a border of co-ordinating paper.  Stick on to the base as shown:

4. Stamp colour and fussy cut the 'And So to Bed' image.

5. Attach the image on to the base using form pads and add die cut letters and embellishments to finish off:
