Little Claire Likes .... Beach Huts

Good morning, it's Monday and so that means another Little Claire Likes. Today we are showcashing 'Beach Hut's. We hope that showing this card will bring the sunshine and warmer weather and send away the snow.

Here is a card using some of the stamps from this great, fun stamp set.

 

The inside of the card has been decorated too.

 

 We give you a list of all of the products used and instructions on how to make the card.  Every product that is available on our website is linked, so you can go straight to each item.

 

 Products Used :

Beach Hut's Stamp set - £6.50
First Edition 'Blank Canvas' Paper Pack - £7.50
White Scallop card & envelopes pack (x10) - £2.50
Kraft card and envelope pack (x10) - £2.50
White A4 Stamping Card (x20 sheets)  - £3.50
Promarkers : Peach, Honeycomb, Soft Green, Tea Green, Vanilla, Mustard
& Ice Grey I - £1.70 each
Beach hut ribbon - please check website for availability
Birthday sentiment, linen thread & brown inkpad from stash.

Card instructions :

(1) On white cardstock, stamp out the beach hut, line image and sentiments, colour images in with Promarkers. Matt and layer sentiments after inking edges with brown inkpad.
(2)Wrap some linen thread around image, tie three little knots.
(3) Cut out a piece of kraft card measuring : 13.5cms x 13cms. Using the turquoise dotty paper, cut a square measuring 13cm x 12.5cms.  Then a yellow square measuring : 10.5cms x 10cms and a kraft one to measure : 11cms x 9.5cms.
(4)With brown inkpad, ink all edges of card/paper including stamped images.
(5) Stick down 'beach hut' ribbon over layers as shown, attach with double-sided tape at back of card. (6) Stick all elements down onto white card and ink around white scallop card.
(7) Do the same to the centre of the card placing images and sentiment as shown.

Friday Blog Project - Double Pocket Card

 

Hello, Happy International Woman's Day to you! It's Heidi here and I am sharing a feminine, flowery & vintage blog project today, just right for that special Mum in your life!

I have made a Double Pocket Card using the gorgeous little stamp set called 'Heart's & Flower's' and 'Daisy Dot' alphabet set.  Both sets are available on the website, via the links below.





 

Here is the inside of the card and tags made.

 

 

I have coloured the lavender in a lovely vintage pink to match the paper used.

 



I have used the 'Daisy Dot' alphabet and have paper-pieced the wording 'MUM' on my card.  The border stamp is great to use on its own and matches perfectly with the other stamps in the set.

My Mind's Eye Paper - 'Tickled Pink' - 'Delicate'

Magnolia Dies - Butterfly & Border

'Go Kreate' Swirl Die

Momento 'Rich Cocoa' Inpad

Hole Punch, Cream lace, white pearls and Double-sided tape from stash

 

Instructions :

 

(1) Cut paper to meaure : 29cms x 21.5cms.   Die cut three white shapes using Swirly Die.

(2) Stamp up images onto shapes and colour in with Promarkers and edge with brown inkpad. Stamp up letters onto paper, cut out and edge with ink.



(3) Die cut, border and butterfly.  Cut lace and ink with brown inkpad.

(3) Fold A4 paper in half horizontally and vertically. Make a cut from right edge into centre of paper only.

(4) Fold down top corner slightly on right of paper, bottom corner on right and top corner to centre of fold on left-hand side, as shown.



(5) Fold in half and then bottom to top, stick edges together, this forms your pocket card. Ink all edges with inkpad.
(6) Punch holes in tags, thread lace through. Stick all elements down onto card, add pearls.

Our Club Stamp for March....

...is 'You're so Tweet'

This lovely stamp made us (Carol & I) squeal with delight when we saw the finished version, it's just sooo cute!
And the cards our teamies have made are the best too, take a look, here's Heidi's club card:

This pack has been sent to all of our club members, it's a lovely, sweet card with lots of folds, and we just love the combination of the spotty green paper with the pale green bazzill and dotty organza ribbon

Full instructions are included together with all the materials to make this card and we still have some packs left if you would like to get in touch and join our club!

And then, in a totally different vein, we have this gorgeous card from Helen R which depicts this stamp so well, this stamp is such a joy to colour:

Little Claire Likes .... 'The Great Outdoors'

 Good morning, we are sharing another 'Little Claire Likes' ....with you today.  'The Great Outdoor's is a great set for men and women.  It is versatile for anyone that likes fresh air, walking and camping. It has a great sentiment in the set too!!

 

Here is a twisted-easel card using the set, the set has lots of great little elements in, which you can make up lots of great scenes with. We have given you a list of products used and instructions on how to make the card below.

'The Great Outdoors' stamp set - £8.99

Brown Kraft Card Blanks & Envelopes - £2.50

First Edition 'Blank Canvas' Paper Pack - £7.50

Promarkers : Pear Green, Satin, Oatmeal, Sandstone, Caramel, Denim Blue, Khaki, Pastel Beige, Warm Grey III & Ice Grey 1 - £1.70 each

Glossy Accents - £4.50 each

(From stash : Cream cardstock, brown inkpad, circle & scallop circle punch and cream card blank).

Card Instructions :

 

(1) Onto cream cardstock, stamp up images, colour in with Promarkers.  Stamp up sentiment and punch out.

(2) Fold corner on cream card blank.  Cut two pieces of kraft cardstock to measure : 12cms x 12cms. Cut one in half diagonally. 

(3) Cut two pieces of paper measuring : 11.5cms x 11.5cms, again cut one in half.  Edge all card and paper with brown inkpad.

(4) On large paper square and triangle, stamp boot & compass images around as shown. Stick down to kraft cardstock and then onto card base.

(5) Stamp out four compasses and two sets of boots.  Cut out, stick together and edge with inkpad, place on card where shown.

(6) Mount image onto kraft cardstock and stick to front of card.  Stick sentiment to right hand corner.

(7) Cut out a small circle of kraft card, stick last two compass shapes together and place on bottom of card to form the stopper.
(8) Add glossy accents to compass face, leave overnight to dry.

Little Claire's Weekly Project...Wall Hanging

Hello Crafters,

It's Gemma here and it's my turn for Little Claire's weekly project and as it's Mother's day here in Britain on the 10th March i decide to make a special gift to give and share with you how i made it *smiles*

I have used one of the new release's called 'Butterfly Blossom'...omg it's gorgeous and i can't stop using this stamp, you can find the stamp here for £4.50

Without further ado here's a picture of my weekly project...hope you likey *smiles*

Ingredients

Little Claire's 'Butterfly Blossom' stamp

Little Claire's 'Daisy Dot' alphabet and numbers stamp set

Spellbinders plain circle nesties

Xcut 'Bloom' nesting die

Marianne Designs 'Butterfly' die

Promarkers...caramel, buttercup and primrose

Darice 'Dots' embossing folder

White, yellow and kraft card {stash}

Ribbon {stash}

Recipe

1) Cut 4 yellow circle using the largest circle of your Spellbinders and cut 2 kraft blooms using your Xcut 'Bloom' dies.

2) Emboss your 4 yellow circle with the Darice embossing folder and attached 2 of them on to your 2 kraft blooms.

3) Turn over the 2 kraft blooms and attach your ribbon with extra tacky tape like the picture above, making sure you have a hoop at the top and 2 tails hanging from the bottom.

4) Now attach your other 2 embossed circles to the backs of the kraft blooms and this will cover the ribbons to make it look neat.

5) Now cut 2 white circles using your Spellbinders which i chose the next size down from the largest you have used previously to cut the yellow circles. Stamp the Butterfly Blossom image on to 1 circle and coloured in with promarkers. 

6) Using the Daisy Dot stamp set...stamp the letters spelling Mam on to some scrap white card and colour with promakers, now cut these letters out and attach to the 2nd white circle using foam pads.

Tip: Go around the edge of your white circles with your buttercup promarker and then with the primrose promarker to give the circles a little glow.

7) Using foam pads attach your circle containing the word Mam on to your top bloom of your wall hanging and add a little bow too.

8) Using the Marianne design 'Butterfly' die cut out a kraft butterfly and a yellow decorative part and attach to your wall hanging like to picture above.

9) Using foams now attach your Butterfly Blossom image circle on to the bottom bloom of your wall hanging, now cut out another butterfly but in the opposite colours from which your did in step 8 and attach this to one of your tails of your wall hanging.

Now you have finished your wall hanging and it should look like this...

This wall hanging could be for any special lady in your life, just changed the letters!!

Little Claire Likes .... 'Swirly Whirly Cats'

Welcome to another 'Little Claire Likes', today we are showcasing 'Swirly Whirly - Cat's'.  This is a lovely little stamp that you can colour in as shown below, or leave blank for a mono look.

 Heidi has made the card above using this stamp, she has listed all of the products used from our website and given instructions on how the card was made.
 

Products Used :

Swirly Whirly Cat Stamp - £4.50

Dictionary Definition's Sentiment Stamp Set - £12.99

First Edition 'J'Adore' Paper Pack - £7.50

White Cards - £2.50 per pack

A4 White Stamping Card - £2.50 pack

Brown Baker's Twine - £2.50 a reel

Promarkers : Satin and Pastel Beige - £1.70 each

(From stash - brown card, brown inkpad, scallop & circle punches, small heart punch, MS lattice punch, Shaped die and brown pearls).
 

How the card was made :

(1) Stamp image and sentiment onto white cardstock using brown inkpad, colour in image and die-cut.  Edge card, image and sentiment with brown inkpad.

(2) Cut brown cardstock to measure : 13.5cms x 13.5cms, stick down to white card.

(3) Using two different papers from pack, cut two squares from each paper to measure : 6.5cms x 6.5cms, stick down onto brown card.

(4) Add baker's twine to back of image, wrap around once more and stick. Using a small piece of twine, tie a bow.

(5) Punch out two small hearts and two MS hearts.  Stick together and add bow.

(6) Punch out scallop circle, stick down sentiment and add to card.  Position over twine & image.

(7) Add pearls.

Hello everyone, we are feeling happy here at Little Claire today - it must be because it is March very soon and that makes us think of lighter nights and warmer days which together with seeing daffodils and tree blossom is something to look forward to.

We have had a very busy week too with the launch of our new stamps and also Steve is off to the Make-It show at Farnborough this weekend (Fri 01 - Sun 03 March) and we have been making sample boards for our new stamps and making sure all the stock is ready to take.   If you are coming to the show do come and visit our stand where you can see all of our lovely samples up close and our wonderful Heidi will be with us on Saturday demonstrating and sharing her ideas.
