Little Claire's Weekly Project...Christmas Milk carton

Hello me lovelies

It's Gemma here and it's my turn to do the weekly project so today i have a Christmas milk carton to share with you...you can add sweeties inside of them and they are great for Birthdays, Halloween, Christmas parties or simply made into gifts for any occasion you will have.

Here's my Christmas milk carton...hope you likey :)

Products used to make the milk carton...
Hougie board
A4 piece of cream card
Red Tacky tape
Glue
Bull dog clip

Products used to decorate the milk carton...
Dovecraft Merry Magic paper {or any of your choice}
Brown card {or of your choice}
Spellbinders scalloped & plain circle nesties
sticky back pearls
Ribbon

Here's how to make the milk carton...

1) Lay your A4 piece of card on your Hougie board landscape way and score on the following...7cm, 14cm, 21cm and 28cm, don't cut off the bit the little access that you have from when you scored at 28cm ...i know this is tempting but you do need it because this is going to be your glue flap!!

2) While it's still in this position score 3cm down on the following...10.5cm and 24.5cm.

3) Turn your piece of card around so it's portrait and the glue flap is at the bottom, now score on the following...6cm, 14cm & 19.5cm.

4) Now fold all your score lines to make them neat, next bit is to cut off access bits of card...i have coloured the parts that need to be cut off and they only need to be cut off up to the score line.

5) Next is to add some red tacky tape and some glue to your glue flap like so in the picture above, this flap attaches to the other end of your card but inside of your milk carton.

6) This is what your milk carton should look like when you have attached the 2 ends together.

7) Using red tacky tape and glue stick down the flaps like so in the picture above.

8) Next pull the top part of your milk carton together like so in the picture above.

9) Attach the bull dog clip to flap at the top of your milk carton, this holds it together so your sweeties don't fall out.

10 ) Next is to decorate your milk carton with your chosen products, i only decorated the front of my carton but you could do both if you wish...

This is how i did mine...
1) Cut 2 pieces of backing paper, one measuring 6cm x 7cm and the other to 6cm x 4.5cm.

2) Matt and layer the to pieces of backing paper onto brown card measuring 6.5cm x 7.5cm and the other measuring 6.5cm x 5cm, now attach these to the milk carton, the largest piece attaching to the larger panel and the smallest piece attaching to the smallest panel.

3) Cut a scalloped circle out of brown card and a plain circle out of cream card.

4) Now stamp the bird image and the sentiment onto the plain cream circle. Now sponge some ink around the edge of the circle this gives it a bit of distressed look, now attach to the milk carton like so in the above picture.

5) Now make it look pretty and add some pearls and ribbon....now your finished :)
