Friday Blog Project - Daisy Sheep Card

Hello Heidi here to share the Friday blog project with blogland.

Today, I have made a little fun card using a brand new dinkie stamp.

Have you met 'Daisy the Sheep'. Isn't she gorgeous?

She is only £2.00 and joins lots of new 'dinkies' over on the website HERE.

I love this little stamp so much, that I had to stamp her up six times! I have coloured her in with my faithful Promarker pens, adding a black sheep into the family.  After cutting out the images, I have rubbed the backs of them with a ball tool, to give them shape.

I have used a great sentiment set called 'Dictionary Definitions' and used the 'daughter' stamp.  My youngest Georgia turns 15 on Monday, so thought this card would be just right for her.

Here is a product list and instructions, should you wish to make a 'Daisy' card.

Products Used :

Little Claire 'Daisy the Sheep' - Dinkie Stamp - from website
Little Claire 'Dictionary Definitions' sentiment stamp set - from website
Little Claire 'Gingham' paper pack - from website
White Card blank
White Stamping cardstock
Green and Yellow Bazzill Cardstock
Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink pad
Three sizes of circle dies
Yellow ric-rack ribbon
White Pearls
Promarker Pens
Glossy Accents
Tools : Scissors, Cosmic Shimmer Glue and sticky foam pads.

Card Instructions :

(1) Cut a square of green and yellow Bazzill cardstock, matt together and stick down to card blank.
(2) From the 'Gingham' paper pack, cut a piece of green gingham paper to fit on card.
(3) Die cut three different sized circles, one from green card, one from yellow check paper and one from white stamping card.
(4) Stamp up 'daughter' image onto white circle.
(5) Stamp up six 'Daisy the Sheep' images, colour in, cut out and emboss at back with ball tool.
(6) Stick die cut circles together, stick down onto card.
(7) Arrange 'Daisy' shapes around the circle sentiment and stick down using sticky pads.
(8) Add glossy accent to 'black' sheep, leave to dry.

I do hope you have enjoyed my blog project today, Daisy sure is a cutey!

Digi Boxed Flowers - Digi Stamp Project

Hi Everyone
Mags here to share with you a little project using a cute digi image called Digi Boxed Flowers.

I love the effect of paper piecing so I wanted to show you how easy it is to paper piece using a digi stamp.  There are a few photos as I wanted to show you step by step how to master this technique.

1.  Print the image onto white cardstock.

 2. Choose the patterned paper that you want to use and use masking tape to attach it over the stamped image on the card.  Put the card through the printer again.  By doing it this way you ensure that the image does print on the patterned paper where you want it.

3.  Cut out the pieces you require.  In this case I cut out two flowers of each colour from the patterned paper and I also cut out all four flower squares as I wanted to mount them seperately onto coloured card.  For the contrasting colour card I cut out a large piece measuring 9.5cm by 20.5cm for the backing and a smaller piece 4.8cm by 18cm to mount the flower squares onto.  I also cut another piece of white card 9cm by 20cm.

4.  Attach the white card to the large contrasting card.  Place the smaller contrasting card in the centre of the card and place the flower squares on top.  Use the patterned flowers you have cut out to paper piece the flowers.

5.  Finish the card by doing some doodling around the edges.  Add a gem to each corner and a peel off sentiment.  You can also add some glitter to the centre of the flowers.

I hope you have enjoyed this project and will have a go.  You will be surprised how easy it is and gives your digi stamps a new lease of life.

Friday Blog Project with Little Claire

Morning all,

Last day of my half term breather - has been brilliant to relax and enjoy!  Now on with today's Little Claire Friday Blog Project.  The inspiration gained when creating the Valentine's Day card for my lovely hubbie last weekend.  So here goes - Mother's Days cards x 2!

Stamps used:  Silhouette Owl Tree and "Mum" from Dictionary Definitions Sentiment Set.

I used a scalloped card blank as my base with stamping card cut to 12.5cm x 12.5cm, backing paper cut at 13.5cm x 13.5cm.

All elements are photographed apart from the adhesive stones, fineliner pen, heat gun and clear embossing powder.

The images were stamped and embossed using clear embossing powder.

Elements assembled.  Fineliner and adhesive stones added.

Yes two cards - two colour ways - two mums to create cards for.  Nothing like being prepared!

Hope you like my little off to enjoy my last Friday before work next week.......mmh decisions, decisions...  xxGaynor

Butterflies in a Butterfly – Digi Stamp Project

Morning All! It’s Lisa here with a new ‘Digi Stamp Project'.  Today I’m showcasing the Butterflies in a Butterfly digi stamp

digi Butterflies in a Butterfly.

Where possible I like to re-purpose/recycle things, even paper that has only had something printed on one side. Technically it could go straight in the recycle bin but I like to use it thoroughly before throwing it away. Normally I just clip the paper together with a bulldog clip, instead I thought I would make myself something a little prettier. Here is my shopping list holder:

Butterflies in a Butterly

  • Butterflies in a Butterfly Digi Stamp
  • Bunting Stamp Set
  • Purple Inkpad
  • Alcohol Markers
  • White Stamping Card
  • Lilac/Aqua Patterned Paper
  • Purple and Turquoise Card
  • 16cm by 22.5cm Piece of Thick White Cardboard (recycled from packing materials)
  • Corner Die
  • Ribbon, Paper Flowers and White Bulldog Clip
  • Scrap paper

Step by Step:

  1. Distress the edges of the thick white card with purple ink and cover with a piece of aqua patterned paper measuring 15.5cm 22cm. (Unless you are using 12x12 or A4 paper you will need to use two pieces, the join can be hidden by some ribbon or a border).
  2. Die-cut 8 corners from turquoise card and fix to the base.
  3. Cut a 14cm by 10cm piece of lilac patterned paper, mat onto purple card and fix to the top half of the base .
  4. Print the butterfly 5 times onto white stamping card.
  5. Trim one butterfly into a square and mat onto purple, then turquoise card. Colour the main butterfly with a dark grey alcohol marker and fix to the patterned panel with 3D foam pads.
  6. Cut out the remaining butterflies so you end up with the top wings, the bottom wings, the two small bottom pieces and the body. Colour these with alcohol markers and layer up using 3D foam pads or glue gel.
  7. Using purple ink stamp the bunting onto lilac patterned paper to spell ‘Shopping List’. Cut out and fix to the patterned panel using 3D foam pads.
  8. Add paper flowers to the bottom left of the butterfly.
  9. And lastly use the bulldog clip to attach your recycled paper.

Here is a close up of the top

Butterflies in a Butterfly

Hope you like my project and are inspired to try something similar.

Thanks for stopping by
