Tag - You're It!

Good morning - it's Helen here to share a very quick and easy card using some great LC Designs products.

Here's what you'll need:

sentiment stamp from LC Designs
patterned paper
plain paper
ribbon
black gems
corner rounder punch

and here's what you need to do:

1. Trim the bird image taking away the white surrounding the picture as shown in the photo below.  Stamp the sentiment sideways as shown in the photo.  Mat on to coloured card:

2. Cut a a piece of patterned paper to measure 8cm by 7cm and a piece of plain paper to measure 8.5cm by 7.5cm.   Round the bottom two corners and then mat the patterned paper on to the plain paper as shown in the photo below:

3. Attach the paper panel to the front of the tag card and then add the image as shown below:

4. Tie ribbon through one side of the tag card and add some black gems:

As you can see, the Irresisitible Images can be cut down or even die cut - they don't just have to be used as they are.  They're great for making quick cards as the images are pre-coloured.

Kraft tag cards are also on the website here.

And here's another tag card I've made using 'Dinkies Tulip Bunny'

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Alli`s Monthly Inspiration

Hello its Alli here today to remind you about the latest stamp challenge and as you know the theme is spring colours. I have made this card as my design team inspiration, I have to say that I love all the wavy stamps and this wavy doggies stamp is no exception. The lucky winner will take away a stash of Irrisistible Images and I recommend you take a look at the full range as they are beautiful. So good luck if you enter the challenge and happy crafting.

What you will need:
Crealies Oval XXL double stitch dies
Creative Expressions Delicate Daisies Open Petals die
Creative Expressions Delicate Daisies Complete Petals die
Tonic boot punch small daisy
die cutting machine
Tonic boot punch small butterfly
ring binder hole punch
small hole punch
6" x 6" base card
Fancy Florals papercraft kit (from a craft magazine)
pink paper
white card to stamp onto
copy paper
colouring implements of your choice
black Versa Fine ink pad
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Spun Sugar & Peacock Feathers

Cover the base card with the pink paper and cut to size.
Cut and layer the dotty paper from the Fancy Florals paper pack and stick onto the base card.

Using the Wavy Doggies stamp and the black Versa Fine ink pad stamp the image onto the white card (make sure that the image is at the centre of a square at least 6" x 6").
Select a Crealies oval die large enough to see the image through and cut out an aperture from the copy paper.
The copy paper has now become a mask so cut the paper down to a suitable size and secure the copy paper over the stamped image (remember to use low tack or linted masking tape as you do not want to tear the surface of the white card).
Colour the image in using colouring implements of your choice.
Remove the mask and cut the image to size (about 5 3/8" x 5 3/8").
Using the "To my best friend" sentiment and the black Versa Fine ink stamp the sentiment at the top right of the image topper.
Stick the image topper onto the base card.

Secure the same Crealies die as you have already used to make the mask and the next larger die onto some white card to make a frame and run through the die cutting machine.
Stick the frame onto the card topper to frame the image.

With the Creative Expressions Delicate Daisies Open Petals die and the Creative Expressions Delicate Daisies Complete Petals die cut 2 of each and colour using the Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
Stick one open petal daisy over the full petal daisy and repeat with the two remaining die cuts.
Using the Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers Distress Ink colour a piece of white card and punch out two dots using the ring binder hole punch.
Stick the dots to the centre of the two daisies and stick the daisies onto the card.
With the Tonic daisy boot punch make 4 daisies from white card and colour in using the Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
Make 4 small dots from the Peacock Feathers coloured card using the smaller hole punch.
Stick the dots to the centre of the small Daisies and then stick the Daisies onto the card.
Using the Tonic small Daisies boot punch make 2 small Daisies from white card.
Using the smaller hole punch make 2 dots from the pink paper previously used on the card.
Stick the pink dots to the centre of the white Daisies and stick the Daisies onto the card.

Using the Tonic small butterfly boot punch make a butterfly from the pink paper previously used on the card and stick the butterfly onto the card.

Sarah's Monthly Inspiration

Good Morning Everyone!

It's Sarah here with my inspiration card for the New Challenge - Spring Colours. I have used the lovely digi stamp Hedgehog with Flowers - also available as a dinkie stamp. I found a cute paper that was free with a magazine and based the colours on the backing paper - adding bright yellow daffodils for a spring feel.

I used ProMarkers to colour in the super cute Hedgehog and added a green scalloped boarder to the paper edge. I used a bright green gem for the punched purple flower and small orange buttons for the daffodil centres. One little wooden ladybird finished the card :)

The prize for this challenge is 3 packs of LC Designs Irresistible Images worth £2.99 each:

Defo worth entering! Details can be found here.

Thanks for looking,

This month we are also featuring cards from two GDTs.

First of all we have Lorraine:

"My name is Lorraine Sexton, I am 66 years of age and I live in West Sussex with my lovely hubby Kevin.  I have two children and two grandchildren.

I first started making cards probably 20 years ago.  I used to visit the Craft Barn in Lingfield which was started by a lady called Maggie Wright.  She had first seen rubber stamps in the US and thought it would be good to introduce them to us in the UK.  Over the years I have progressed from rubber stamping to try most techniques but my main love is still stamping and colouring.   One area I’m not keen on is the “Grunge” look, I prefer clean lines, fresh colours and try not to overdo it with embellishments.  Like most other papercrafters I have amassed a huge “stash” and I really should take stock one of these days, but you never know when things might come in handy.   I really get a buzz from sending my finished cards to my friends and family and I try to tailor the design of the card to the particular recipient.  The only complaint I get is that they can’t bear to throw them away so have an ever growing pile of my cards!

My other  interests include gardening, birdwatching, walking, knitting and I also volunteer as a Room Guide at Standen, my local National Trust property.

I would be delighted to be asked to become a Guest Designer for Little Claire whose products I have liked and used over the years.  I especially like using clear stamps but have recently discovered digistamps which are so versatile"

And is Lorraine's gorgeous card:

Lorraine has used our 'Darling Daschunds' stamp set

Next is Colette

"My name is Colette and I have been Paper-crafting for 8yrs now. I have always been interested in creating things since I was a child. I had a stressful job, so crafting was a way of relaxation. I could make a mess in my craft room and time would just pass and I would relax. I have been a fan of Little Claire's Stamps for a long time and was a member of their craft club from the beginning. I enjoy stamping, decoupage and any type of card making.

I am married to Tim and we have three grown up children, 2 basset hounds, a border terrier and 6 hens. We live in a cottage that dates back to 1485"

And this is Colette's gorgeous card:

And now some inspiration from our talented Design Team:

Diane has used 'Dinkies Tulip Cat' and the 'Quirky Quilts' paper pack

Sarah has used the digi 'Hedgehog With Flowers'

Allison has used 'Wavy Doggies'

Susan has used a range of our Dinkies stamps - 'Dinkies Darling Elephants', 'Sweet Stamp', '3 Owls' and 'Rain Hogs' and various LC Designs Papers.

Gaynor has used 'Kitties - Irresistible Images' and 'Delicate Daisies' paper pack

Weekly Blog Project - using a delightful "Dinkie."

Hi.

Beautiful April - Spring is my favourite time of the year.  I love all the awakening of nature - which helped to inspire my card project.
Using a single Dinkie Stamp from Little Claire - Dinkie Bee Flower and Little Claire's Pretty Pastels Delicate Daisy Paper Stack I have created an 8" x 8" scalloped card!

I matted and layered four of the lilac Daisy Papers onto black card 8.5cm x 8.5cm and positioned the four tiles evenly on a matt of orange card 19 cm square which I then layered onto a 19.5cm square of black.  I then created a faux stitch line around the pattern papers on each tile using my micron pen.

The centre white tile is 8cm x 8cm which I stamped using the Dinkie Bee Flower using Memento Black Ink as I have shaded with Promarkers - Tulip Yellow, Winter Berry, Orchid, Pastel Blue, Powder Blue, Pumpkin, Burnt Orange and Cool Grey 4.  I filled the tile with the image allowing sufficient room to create a faux stitched border using my micron pen.

I tied a triple bow of ribbon from the stash around the tiled paper fixed with thin adhesive tape.

I matted and layered the tile onto black, orange and black with 1/2 cm difference in the size of the layers. Stamped tile is fixed using 3D foam pads.
To embellish I have added Halo Gold Glitter to the centre of the flowers.  Glossy accents to the centre of the flowers and the bees.  Tiny adhesive crystals to the bubbles and 3 black crystals in each corner to balance up the design.

The die cut flowers are from Memory Box - I offset the black and white to add dimension and added a sticker to the centre.

Phew - and I was only playing with the one stamp and papers.  Just highlights how much can be achieved using the very versatile little Dinkie Stamps from Little Claire Designs.

Right off now to enjoy the last couple of days of my Easter Holidays........dare I mention the dreaded SATS are very much on the horizon on our return to school next week.....

My School's Moto is "Team" - Together Everyone Achieves More..... and very much so - there is no I in TEAM...........Yes I am very privileged to work in such an amazing environment......will still have the wobbles I bet on Sunday evening though!

Hope you have enjoyed my little make and perhaps I've helped to nudge an idea or two of your own.

Cheerio for now.  xxGaynor
