Christmas Countdown

Morning guys..Diane here with a Christmas Countdown for you to make using the Christmas Snowmen stamp set !!

You will need:
cardboard
green, white and black card
Dovecraft Back to Basic Christmas paper
Die cut letters and numbers
wooden peg
red ribbon
glitter(stickles)
3d foam tape

1: Cut a  piece of cardboard 5 1/2" x 8 1/4" and two pieces of your pattern paper one 3" x 5" and 5 1/4" x 5" and then glue to front.

2: Cut a 4 1/4" scalloped circle in green card, a 3 1/2" plain circle of white card and another one 3"

3: Stamp your snowmen onto the 3" white circle, colour in and then mount onto the 3 1/2" circle, then mount onto the green scallop circle. Now add a black wiggly line to edge and some stickles.

4: Just lay your scallop circle onto the front of your covered board and glue your die cut letters around top. Don't worry if you haven't any die cut letters because you could stamp or hand write them instead. Now draw a wiggly black line all round edges.

5: Now attach green scallop circle to front using 3d foam tape.

6: Cut 12 pieces of green card  3 1/2" x 3" and 24 pieces of white card  2 3/4" x 2 3/4".

7: Glue a piece of white card to the front and back to each of the 12 of green card leaving a just over 1/2" at top. Now draw a black wiggle line round edge of white card.

8: Now add die cut numbers 1 - 12

8: Flip them over and add die cut number 13-24

9: Cover front of wooden peg with pattern paper and add a big red ribbon bow

10: All you have to do now is clip your countdown numbers to the front of your board and it is complete !!

Here's another one using the other snowman stamp in the set and using red card instead of green.

You don't have to make a Christmas countdown, why not a birthday countdown or holiday one ?? You're sure to find the right stamp for any occasion on the Little Claire website !!

Gift card holder

Marianne here today to show you how to make a gift card holder. I have wanted to make some of these for a while for my craft fair stall and this year determined to work out the measurements and make some.

You will need
Strong blue A4 card
White card
Christmas paper
Velcro dots
Scalloped circle die
Copics or Promarkers
Stickles or white glitter
Small snowflake

1 Cut a strip of blue card 10cm x 29.7cm and a piece 10cm x 6cm.

2 Score and fold the long piece of card at 10.5cm and 21cm.
3 Cut the paper as follows:
3 pieces 9cm x 9.5cm
2 pieces 9cm x  7.7cm
1 piece 9cm  x  5cm

4 Attach the papers to white card leaving a 2mm border of card.

5 On one side of the blue card attach 2 of the largest pieces of paper to the 2 largest rectangles. Attach one of the 9cm x 7.7cm to the smaller rectangle.

6 Attach the smallest piece of paper to the small piece of card. Tape around three sides and attach to the bottom of the middle section.
7 Die cut a scalloped circle from white card and attach to the bottom section of the card. Write To and From on the circle.

The inside will then look like this.

8 Fold the holder and attach the remaining pieces of paper to the front 2 pieces. Attach a velcro dot to hold it together.

9 Colour the snowmen village stamp. Layer onto blue card and attach to the front of the holder. Add glitter and a small snowflake.

A much nicer way to present somebody with a gift card and it can be adapted for any occasion.
