Weekly Blog Project - You Are My Sunshine

Good morning everyone!  This week it's my (Helen N) turn to share one of my creations with you and I've made this hanging card using 'Garden Set' and one of the gorgeous new 'Sunshine Sentiment' stamps.

Here's what you'll need to make the project:
Promarkers
pale green card
circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities dies
Go Kreate scalloped square dies
Corner rounder punch
And this is what you need to do:
1. Stamp the flower pot, wellingtons and sentiment on to white card and die cut using two sizes of the circle dies:
2. Then die cut from the pale green card four scalloped squares and scalloped circles to match the three circular image panels:

3. Cut three white squares (8cm square) from the stamping card and round the corners.  Cut a square of the pale green gingham paper (7cm) square and round the corners of this:

4. Colour the two main images using Promarkers:

5. Layer the two image circles on to the larger scalloped circles and then on to the white card.  Then layer the sentiment circle on to the smaller scalloped circle, then on the pale green gingham paper and then the white card as shown in the photo below:

6. Starting with the top panel, lay one of the scalloped squares on to your craft mat and then put the ribbon over the top of this creating a loop above the scalloped square.  Use some sellotape to tape the two sides of the ribbon to the green scalloped square:

 7. Next place your first white square on top of this so the ribbon is sandwiched between the two pieces:
8. Continue attaching the other scalloped squares in the same way as shown in the photo below:

9. Attach the two final white card squares to finish the card:

I really hope you like the card!  Here's another variation I made using the 'Babies Are Such a Nice Way' set and a bit of paper piecing using pale blue gingham paper:
 Hope you like the cards!

Blog Candy Winner and Show News

Isn't this a gorgeous card from Georgina?  She's used one of our new 'Save the Date' sentiments and stamped the number inside the circle in a different coloured ink which looks really effective.

A big thank you to everyone who left a comment or sent me an e-mail about our new sentiment stamps - they're certainly popular and we can see why!

The winner of the 'Save the Date' set is:

Karen who said: "OH these stamps are just PERFECT!! I love them!!! :0) They're going to be the most perfect addition for any and every card! Smiles.
So useful and one of those crafting items that never gets put away - ever!xx"

Karen can you please e-mail me at helen@littleclaire.co.uk with your surname and address and I'll get the stamps in the post to you.

And the winner of the 'Sunshine Sentiments' set is:

Pat (one of our e-mail commenters) who said:
"Hello and thank you for these lovely circular stamps.  Someone had their thinking cap on when they designed the set that takes the numerals inside the circle – brilliant idea!  The sunshine greetings stamps are happy little sentiments that will be great for loads of different occasions.  Another couple of winners from Little Claire – thank you for giving us the chance to win a set."

Keep an eye on the blog next week when we'll have our first regular blog candy on offer!

Last weekend we were at the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza in Harrogate - we had a great weekend and it was lovely to see everyone.

We also hosted two very successful breakfast workshops using the gorgeous Flossies - here are the two cards the ladies who came to the workshops made (both designed by Helen N):

This first one is made with one of the versatile Flossie die cuts - pre-coloured and perfect for when you want to make a quick but still stylish card.

This second one uses the stamp 'Flossie and Birds' as well as 'Georgina's Buttons and Stitching Stamp Set'.

We were also at the show at Olympia last weekend and Design Team member Heidi was demoing on the Little Claire stand.  Here's a couple of the cards she made:

First of all, a card made using our Butterfly stamp - isn't it elegant?

Then a card using 'Rainy Days', 'Georgina's Buttons and Stitching Stamp Set' and one of the 'Little Beauties' sentiment tags.

Over the next few days you can find us at Hobbycrafts at the NEC in Birmingham - the show starts today (22 March) and runs until Sunday.  For more details, please click here.
