Last Saturday...

..we ran a day of Little Claire classes not far from where we are based on the Wirral.

Our teamie Helen N designed the cards and ran the class and Steve made lots of teas and coffee's and was very free with his chocolate Mini Rolls (how tempting are they and so naughty!)

In the morning our class was themed 'Memory Box Dies and Little Claire stamps' and here is a flavour of the cards our lovely ladies made:

A fabulous DIY card above, the left side of card is stuck closed with little tool dies placed on top and the stamp is our DIY with the sentiment from our fantastic 'Rebecca's Really Useful Sentiments - Male' stamp set.

Next we made a striking 'H' card (did Helen design it with her initial in mind?) created with our popular Tulip Bunny stamp:

Blue gingham Easel card was our next creation made with our new Changing Birdhouse stamps - this is a great set with which you can change the birdhouse according to your occasion, in this instance we have used a baby birdhouse and the hanging star compliments the hanging Memory Box star:

Sumptious reds next using the little hearts cutting die and stamps from our Freedom set, the red hearts have all been cut out to show the red card from behind:

A little taster for you from our morning class - and then we went on to the afternoon...but thats another story for another blog!

We'd love to see you at our classes on the Wirral, well worth a day trip and there is a gorgeous neat guest house around the corner from our venue if you ever wanted to make enjoy a weekend break, new dates for September will be on our web shortly.

Happy days, Little Claire xxx

Today we would like to put the spotlight on...

...a beautiful card made by our teamie Diane especially for all our cat loving friends:

designed by Diane

We love this card (anyone who likes cats can't fail to love this!)  It's made with our stamp 'Can't make tea...' and comes complete with the sentiment.

Look how Diane has stamped out some of the cats twice, cut out and decoupaged to the corner of the image - so effective.

and the lamp, lady and chair have all been paper pieced and cut out, look at the little kitty snuggled up on her slippers!
This is a stamp we have had for quite a while but we think we'll bring it back to the fore!
Thank you Diane xxxx

Happy Tuesday everyone!

And we hope this is going to be a very happy Tuesday for the lucky winners of our recent Dinkie blog competition.
We have had such an overwhelming response to our 'win a dinkie' competition both via comments on our blog and lots and lots of emails that we have decided to announce 3 lucky winners from our blog and 3 lucky winners who told us their favourites by email - so here goes:

Our 3 Blog Winners:

The Sparkly Fairy - ooh fab competition - my favourite dinky is the Daschund :)

Debra Kenworthy - Wonderful cards from the DT showing how versatile the smallest stamp can be. My favourite is Hedgehogs in a Row as it reminds me of my son's former girlfriend who shouted Stop! when we were taking her home . She jumped out the car only to pick up a hedgehog just to stroke it. This was to be a frequent occurrence and she was really happy if there was two together. I'm still in touch so she would love a card with this image on it. My nerves are a lot better with his current girlfriend in the car! Debra x

Ann Marie - My favourite Dinkies stamp is the Spikey Flower. It has added value as it can be used as fireworks if stamped without inking the stems.

Our 3 email winners:

Claire Boston - My favourite Dinkie stamp is...Dinkie Doggie Robin, it reminds me so much of my late Grandad, as he had a dog called Max, just like the Dinkie Doggie and he love Robins, many thanks to all at Little Claire, from Claire

Sue Maloney - I love all the Dinkies, especially the male ones, the ties, the underpants and the toolbox.  They are so versatile that you can still make a large card with such small stamps.  My favourite? ... Got to be the postcards, I just love them, I decorate my envelopes with the Happy Birthday one - love it! Sue

Linda Woodland - Love the Mini Car stamp - used to have a Mini years ago and loved that as well, I'm a new cardmaker - I have a friend who is helping me and she recommends your stamps.

Very well done (and thank you to everyone who entered) please contact Carol with your address and favourite Dinkie x

We've got a NEW DINKIE!!!

Dinkie Baby Washing Line:

How cute is this? and image the paper piecing you could do, and pink or blue the choice is yours, we have two sample cards here from our teamies:

designed by Diane
A lovely card from Diane and look at the washing pole, such a good idea and so simple to do and Diane has also used one of the sentiments from our recently launched 'Rebecca's Really Useful Sentiments' stamps where you can interchange the sentiment with the theme.

And here is Marianne's card, with the paper piecing and again our 'really useful' sentiment with the name changed but still the same outer theme!

designed by Marianne

Best wishes for a lovely day, Little Claire Team xxx
