Marianne's favourite five LC cards

Marianne here today hoping you are enjoying our little feature this Christmas with the DT showcasing their five favourite LC cards and projects. Today it is my turn to share my favourites with you.

I had to choose this as it is my favourite Christmas LC image. I love snowmen and bunting and the two together are perfect.

This is such a fun image and I love the colour combo of aqua and pink. A really pretty card this one.

This year I have embraced the clean and simple look which is much harder than it looks. I love images with brollies, no idea why as I am not keen on the rain. This is such a cute image and concentrates on the colouring rather than the embellishments.

I love cats and this is such a fun image. I love red and blue and the clean lines.

Another Christmas cad I know but they are some of my favourites to make. This one is one of three I made for a magazine feature. The image is another cute one and I love the banners and snowflakes.

Margreet's favourite 5 cards of 2015

Hi, Margreet here.
It is my turn to show you my 5 favourite cards of 2015.
I am a digi DT member and I made 17 cards/projects. It was very hard to make a choice. But, here we go:

This card I made for my daughter's birthday with Swirly Whirlie Cats. She has 2 cats herself, so I knew she would love it.
I was in need of a card for a man. I found this Ties On Hanger very appropriate.
Once in a while it is my turn to make a project. As I love to walk along the beach in summer I immediately knew what to make when I saw the beach digis. I used the digi Beach Hut for the front
and Beach Hut Interior and Beach Hut Bunting for the inside.
Then Christmas time came nearer and I loved making a card with these Christmas Row of Scotties

My last choice is a Christmas gift envelope with that adorable Christmas Giraffe.

I hope you enjoyed my favourites and that these and my other cards/projects have inspired you over the past year. If you would like to see more of my creations, please stop by my blog:

On the last day of 2015 I'll be back with another project. Perhaps you can find the time to visit me?
I wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Crafty New Year!

Friday Blog Project - Wavy Cats

Good morning and Happy Christmas!  I hope you're having a fabulous day and a wonderful holiday.

It's Helen here to share a photo tutorial for a card I've created using one of the new 'wavy' stamps from LC Designs.

Here's what you'll need to make the card:

white card
black paper and card
pink patterned paper
Detail Clear Embossing Powder
heat gun
colouring medium of your choice

And here's what you need to do:

1. Stamp the main image from the stamp set on to white card using the Versafine ink pad.  I've embossed my image using Detail Clear Embossing Powder.  This is because I wanted the detail from the Versafine pad but also wanted to colour the image using Promarkers - using the embossing powder means that the stamping won't 'bleed' when you use the alcohol markers.

2. Use the 'Have a Purrfect Birthday' sentiment and curve it on an acrylic block as shown in the photo below - hover over the stamped image before inking it so you can adjust the sentiment until it follows the line of the main image.

3. Stamp as shown in the photo below:

4. Use the following measurements to make your base card, scoring between each section of the card:

5. Next mat a piece of black paper measuring 12.5cm by 8cm on to the main section of the card and a piece of patterned paper measuring 12cm by 7.5cm as shown below:

6. Then mat a piece of black paper measuring 5.5cm by 8cm on to the front of the card and a piece of patterned paper measuring 5cm by 7.5cm as shown below:

7. Finally mat a piece of black paper measuring 1.5cm by 7.5cm on to the final section of the card and a piece of patterned paper measuring 1cm by 7cm as shown in the photo below:

8. To assemble the card, attach tape to the other side of the card as shown in the photo below and fold the card round to form a box shape.

9. Mat the stamped image on to black card and attach to the front of the 'box' as shown in the photo below.  Finish the card using some black gems:

10. This is the top view of the card:

And here's the card again:

The card folds flat to go in the post.

I hope you've enjoyed my little project.

Enjoy the rest of the holidays!!

Have yourself a merry little Christmas - Digi Project

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

Lucy here with a digi stamp project using Winter Scene Digi

I also used some gorgeous paper, ribbon, sentiment stamp and glitter sheet all from LC listed below!

Products used:

Winter Scene Digi
Merry little Christmas text stamp
Snowy Ombré Paper
Glitter Sheet
White spot ribbon
6x6 Card Blank
(All from LC Designs)

White card
Promarkers
Pattern edge scissors
Memory Box Frosty Border die
Ranger Liquid pearls

Instructions:

1. Print image onto non-bleed card. Colour in and cut around the edge with pattern edge scissors.
2. Stamp the sentiment onto white card and cut out.
3. Die cut out the borders from white card.
4. Tie the bow from the ribbon and twist both tails behind. This takes a bit of wiggling and practice!

5. Cut out a square of the glitter sheet the same size as your image.

6. Remove backing and stick over the image. (I love the pretty glittery effect it gives and it has a smooth shiny surface!)

7. Stick the pattern paper onto white card and cut around using pattern scissors.
8. Stick the die cut borders up the sides.

9. Stick that to the card blank and attach the image, sentiment and ribbon.
10. Add liquid pearls to the snowflakes.

Isn't that just the nicest Christmas sentiment!

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!

My Favourite Five LC Designs Cards of 2015 - Sarah

Good Morning
Sarah here with my selection of my five fave cards from 2015. I had a hard time choosing and wanted to include all the Christmas cards lol! I'm just about ready for the big day - few more to wrap but almost done :)

As you know I am on the Digi-Stamp Team and just love this form of creating - I hadn't really worked with Digi-Stamps as much as physical stamping, but have become addicted with how you can easily change and print the Digi-Stamp with perfect results every time.

I have chosen the Chrsitmas Scottie with Snowman card - I really enjoyed making this one, playing with Distress Ink, torn paper and lovely Dies.

This card was difficult for me as I love colours and the theme was Mono - was pleased with the clean and simple results of this design and the Silhouette Meadow Girl Digi-Stamp is very stunning.

This Dalmatian in Flowers Digi-Stamp is the design I based my daughter's 1st Birthday Card on, she loves "doggie woggies" and I have put this in her keepsake box for when she is older.

This is one I designed for my Mum - the Silhouette Mother Daughter Digi-Stamp is a "one picture says a thousand words" - perfect for what I wanted to express and I had such fun creating the spiral flowers.

My last choice is not a card but the super cute bags I made using elements from the We Six Cats Digi-Stamp. Perfect for stocking fillers or tree decorations ready for the festive season.

So that is my selection! I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Crafty New Year xx

Lisa’s Favourite 5 Projects

Morning All!

It’s Lisa here with my round-up of the year. I have loved seeing the projects everyone else has been choosing as their favourites. I could have easily picked all my projects…I love them all, but after much dithering and changing my mind here are my ‘Top 5’:

Number 1: Office Shed

Office Shed (5)
Male cards are always a bit tricky, but I love how this one came together.

Number 2: Butterfly Girl

Butterfly Dress (7)
Sometimes you just need an elegant girlie-girl card and this fit the bill.

Number 3: Calvin Cat

Calvin Cat Notebook (2)
I found myself in a bit of habit of just making cards, so I made myself get back to other projects this year, this notebook being one of my favourites (out of all my makes not just LC Designs!).

Number 4: Birdhouse and Flowers

Birdhouse Flowers (5)
Another non-card project. I knew I wanted to make a calendar with this image but I did have any calendar tabs, so I had to create them on the computer and print them out!

Number 5: Christmas Scottie with Snowman

Christmas Scottie with Snowman (2)
Anyone who knows me knows I am like a big kid at Christmas….I love it so much. Therefore this roundup wouldn’t be complete with out a Christmas Card. I’ve made most of my Christmas cards this year using LC Designs Digi Stamps but this is my favourite because I love how my colouring turned out (especially on the wee little doggie!).

So that’s my favourites and I hope these and my other projects have inspired you over the past year! If you would like to see more of my projects please grab a cuppa and stop by my blog www.craftingbelle.blogspot.com .

All that’s left to say is Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year!!

My Favourite Five LC Designs DT Cards from 2015

Hello, Heidi here to share my favourite five cards from 2015.

I didn't realise just how many cards I had made over the last twelve months, it was lovely to re-visit them and appreciate how lovely all of the LC Design stamps and images are.

So here are my favourite five, in no particular order of date or month.

'Room with a View - Four Seasons'

I love the bright colours and this is a really cute little set of images. I have of course used 'Spring', 'Daisy' Alphabet letters, added some LC Designs dotty paper and some die-cut tulips.

My second is :

'March Flowers' set

I made this card for a LC Designs workshop, using lots of layers of the flower and kraft card.  I just love colouring, cutting out and decoupage!

Here is the inside of the card showing the sentiment.

My third card is :

'Lovely Hedgehogs'

Another workshop card, this time a mini-box card, again in bright breezy colours.  I just love these little hedgehogs and the little bird sitting on the flowerpot, super cute!

My fourth card is :

'Sunflowers' stamp set

I love this stamp set as Sunflower's are my favourite flowers! This is a little dinky card and I have used my ever faithful Promarker pens to colour in.

My last card is :

Dinky Stamp - 'Hello Mr Robin!'

I had to include a festive card.  This sweet little snowman image with a little robin, is another favourite of mine.  I just love colouring in this little image and have teamed up with some dinky papers and white pom-poms.

I do hope you have liked my chosen five from 2015.

Am so looking forward to playing with lots of new LC Design stamp sets next year, its just like Christmas when the white envelopes drop on my doormat.

Don't forget to visit the blog tomorrow when another design team member will be sharing their favourite five cards with you.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy, crafting 2016!

hugs

Heidi
