Hi Heidi here to share a blog project with you today.

I am sharing a little 'Dinky' card that I have made using a set that has been recently launched online along with the kraft card blanks and 'Christmas Quilt's' paper pack, that I have used on my card.

The lovely new feline stamp is called :

'We Six Cats'

Here is the picture from the front of the stamp set

I have also used one stamp from the new 'Dinky Sentiments'  - eight new sets that will be available to purchase online from next week.

You can find most of the products used on my card, on the website HERE.

Lydia Goes Shopping - Pop Up Box Step by Step

Good morning and happy Thursday to all...It is Avril here with my Step by Step, which is quite apt today, as I will be meeting my Grand-daughter Sinead, who was 17 yesterday, for some birthday shopping and lunch.

I decided to make my 1st Pop Up card for my Step by Step this time,

Using - Lydia Goes Shopping (Free Digi)

I found that the Dinkie paper pads were perfect for using with the Pop Up Cards.

I decorated the Pop-Up card with Dinkies Papers - adding a border Using Tattered Lace - Kensington Border. I then coloured in Lydia Goes Shopping with Promarkers, using Soft Lime, Lemon and Canary for the Yellows, Denim Blue and Frosted Blue for the Blues, Satin and Blush for Skin, Tan and Tawny Owl for Hair...I added a touch of Gold Glitter Pen, to the Heart on the bag and the flower centre on the other bag.

I then die cut some fashion style images.

Here is the complete Card:-

Hope you like my wee Step by Step, and find some inspiration.  Thank you for reading.

New from Little Claire - Pop Up Box Cards

Good morning everyone - hope you're having a lovely weekend.  It's Helen here with a photo tutorial to show you how to assemble to brand new Pop Up Box Cards which are now available on the website here.

1. First of all, open up the card blank and then score it as shown in the photo below:

2. Decorate the card before assembling it.  I started with the shorter panels which are the ones split up into three separate pieces.  These panels are going to fold down round the opening of the card - bear this in mind if your paper has a 'right way'.  When you make your first card and are working out how it all fits together, it's probably easiest to use a pattern like spots or gingham.  I've used paper from the 'Mini Quirky Quilts Paper' which is here. Attach three pieces to the card base as shown in the photos below.

3.  Turn the card over and decorate the three longer panels with coordinating paper.

4. Stick some tape (red line tape if you have it) on the little tab, fold this round and sticker inside the box to give you the shape in the photo below.  Stick a final piece of patterned paper on the top half of the panel at the back of the card - this will be behind your stamps backdrop.

5. Next separate the two struts and fold them as shown in the photo below:

6. I've kept my card very simple and have used two images from the 'Lovely Hedgehog Stamp Set' which is here on the Little Claire website.  I would suggest leaving a gap at the bottom of your image to allow it to be seen over the edge of the box.  Layer the images on to kraft card as shown in the photo below:

7. I've attached an image panel to the two opposite ends of the struts as shown in the photo below:

8. Attach tape to both ends of the strut and stick these to the inside of the box card as shown in the photo below:

9. I finished my card with a sentiment from the 'Dictionary Definitions' set, some gems and a little punched flowers.

And here's the finished card again.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Splish Splash Card

Hello its Alli here with today's digi stamp project and I just love these Little Claire hedgehogs and the colours in the patchwork papers made a really strong base to work my card colour scheme around. I apologise now if any of you haven't got a graphics program because I have used mine quite a bit for this card, but you can still get the basic idea and improvise with shop bought papers if you don't have one.

what you will need:
Little Claire digi Splishing and Splashing stamp
Little Claire Quirky Quilts paper pad - orange/green hexagon
My Craft Studio Elite CD
printer
6" x 6" base card
orange paper
black paper
good quality mat print paper
good quality card to print onto
colouring implements
1.5cm wide moss green satin ribbon
glossy accents
Tim Holts distress inks and Cut n Dry - Bundled Sage, Tea Die

Stick the orange paper to the base card and cut to size.
Tint the edges of the paper with Tim Holtz Tea Die distress ink using the Cut n Dry.

Tint the edge of the Quirky Quilts orange hexagon paper with Tim Holtz Tea Die distress ink using the Cut n Dry.
Mat and layer the Quirky Quilts paper onto the black paper.
Stick the Quirky Quilts and black paper onto the centre of the orange paper base card.

Using the My Craft Studio Elite CD (backgrounds) select design 179 from the every day section and import this into your graphics program. Open the design to A4 size and then shrink down to 6" wide and crop to 6" long.
With your graphics program re colour the design to match the green of the Quirky Quit paper.
Using the My Craft Studio CD select design 181 from the every day section and import this onto the same page in your graphics program as the previous design 179.
Crop the design to lager than the finished size and re colour to match the mustard gingham of the Quirky Quilt paper.
Print the papers onto a good quality mat print paper (I printed a small test sample of the designs onto copy paper to see if the colours match the Quirky Quilt paper).

Cut the printed papers to the desired size.

Tint the edges of the green paper with Tim Holts Bundled Sage distress ink using the Cut n Dry.
Mat and layer the printed paper onto black paper and stick onto the centre of the base card.

Tint the edges of the mustard gingham paper with Tim Holtz Tea Die distress ink using the Cut n Dry.
Mat and layer the printed paper onto black paper.
Stick the moss green satin ribbon onto the gingham paper and secure at the back with tape.
Stick the gingham paper onto the base card.

Open the cute Little Claire Splishing and Splashing digi stamp in your graphics program and re size to 6.5cm from left puddle to right puddle.

Write the sentiment using your graphics program and re size to around 4.7cm (I use Serif Craft Artist as my graphics program and the font I have used is Troutkings BTF).
Print the image and sentiment onto card.

Cut the image to size and colour in.
Mat and layer the image onto black paper.
Cover the rain drops and puddles with Glossy Accents and leave to dry.
Stick the image topper onto the base card.

Cut the sentiment to size.
Mat and layer onto black paper.
Stick the sentiment onto the card.

Make a bow using the satin ribbon and stick onto the card.

Stick the daisy flowers embellishments onto the card. (the large flower was made using a Marianne flower die and the smaller flowers were made using a Cheery Lynn die, centres were made with a hole punch and coloured with Tim Holts distress ink Spiced Marmalade).

Swirlball Flowers - Friday Blog Project

Hi from everyone at Little Claire,

Friday Blog Project from myself (Gaynor) today...I am scheduling this post as currently watching the tennis on a Saturday evening ...and enjoying all the action.

Today's card has been created using a shadow box of pigment inks - a backdrop for a beautiful stamped image from the Little Claire Swirlball Flower Set

Here is my tutorial in piccies:

I added glitter just to the flowerheads that were stamped into the ink shadow. Before adding the glitter allow the pigment ink to dry.

My project links in with this month's current Blog Challenge - July in Bloom.  There is a fabulous prize on offer.  Hoping I may have provided a little inspiration.  xxGaynor

Thursday project from Susan R

Hi - It's Susan R today with my special Thursday Digi Project!

Look at this lovely image - digi Geranium Flower

Today I decided to make a pop up box card...you will find more details on my blog here

Instructions

  1. Print out the geranium several times and in two sizes and then colour them.
  2. Make the box...The net is a 6.5 by 12 inch panel scored at 2.75, 5.5, 8.25 and 11 inches and then 2.75 inches down. The inch wide tab is trimmed on the right hand side and slits cut from the top down to the 2.75 horizontal score line. Also needed are  two strips 1 inch by 4.75 inches with a 1inch scored tab at each end.

3. Decorate the net inside and out.

4. Fold in the tab and glue in place. At this point it is best to fold all score lines well and
make sure the card lies flat to go in an envelope.

5. Next add the tabs to hold the 'surprises' inside...these are the two strips 1 inch by 4.75 inches with a 1inch scored tab at each end. Then decorate with the smaller geraniums...

And that's it...

Do have a look at Little Claire to see the whole set of digi's!
And by the way...

Happy Crafting!!
