Little Claire Likes' ...... 'Cherish, Hope & Dream's'

 

Good morning, we are sharing another Little Claire Likes ... with you today. This week we are showcasing our January Club stamp 'Cherish, Hope & Dream'.  It is a beautiful set that comes with lots of wonderful butterfly images and three fabulous circular sentiments, that match perfectly with the stamps.
 

 

We have made a pop-out center (instructions below) using the larger stamp and the large butterfly on the front of the card, along with one of the sentiments.  Again all of the products are listed below and can be purchased from the on-line shop or at 'The Barn' where Steve will make you a cuppa whilst you shop!

Cherish, Hope & Dream stamp set - £8.99

Small Scallop White Cards (12 x 12cms) - Pack of 10 with envelopes - £1.80

White A4 stamping cardstock - Pack of  20 sheets - £3.50 pack

Spellbinders Nestibilities 'Labels Twenty-Two' - £16.99

'Romance' Pink Bazzill Cardstock - £0.50p (pack of four 6 x 6" card)

White Organza Spot Ribbon - £1.99 (reel)

Momento 'Tuxedo Black' Inkpad - £3.90

Promarkers : Blossom, Rose Pink, Bright Green & Ice Grey I - (£1.70) each

(Clear stones and A4 paper from stash)

 

Instructions for the card/insert :

(1) Cut a square of white paper to measure 20.5 x 20.5cms.  Fold in half once and then corner to corner twice.  Score a square in each corner measuring 5cms from each edge. Fold together as shown.

(2) Using Momento inkpad, stamp large image twice, once each side of square.  Stamp smaller butterflies into each corner and then twice in centre of paper.

(3) Colour in with Promarkers. Add double sided tape to each side of the insert and stick down centrally into the scallop card shape.

(4) Stamp out larger butterfly onto a piece of white cardstock, cut out shape using Nestibility with a die-cut machine, colour image in as shown.

(5) Cut out a square of 'Romance' cardstock measuring 12 x 12cms. Attach a piece of the ribbon across the middle of the card and stick at back of card and attach to card front.

(6) Using a hole-punch, punch out two holes on right hand side of nestie shape, thread ribbon through both holes and stick down.

(7) Stamp out one of the small sentiments, colour in to match butterfly, stick down and finish off with some clear stones.

Little Claire Weekly Blog Project - 'Made for Men' Card



Hi Heidi here, it's my turn to do the blog project this week.  I have made a very quick male themed card using the fabulous set 'Made for Men'. It is such a versatile set, with three large images and two sentiments included.  I have a card for a 'Brother' using the great sentiments 'Dictionary Definition's', all products used (except paper & Brushed Corduroy Inkpad) available from website Here .

Promarkers : Sandstone, Pastel Beige, Caramel, Burnt Umber & Ice Grey I

 

How to make the card :

 

(1) Cut the green cardstock to measure 10cm x 30cms, score at 10cm & 20cms, fold on scored edges.

(2) Cut three squares of paper measuring : 9.5 x 9.5cms each. Ink edges of green cardstock and paper with 'Brushed Corduroy'.


 

(3) Onto three white squares of cardstock, stamp out all three large images and cut out using Spellbinders die. On a smaller piece of white card, stamp out the 'Brother' image and ink all around as before.

(4) Colour in with Promarkers and ink edges with 'Brushed Corduroy' inkpad.

((5) Attach Moss/Ivory twine around two edges of stamped images and secure at reverse with double-sided tape.

(6) Attach buttons as shown, glossy accent images as shown.

(6) Stick down all three paper squares and attached sticky pads to each of the images and stick down onto green card.  Attach buttons.

...and here is one of our favourite Easter stamps as we have just realised that Easter is early this year at the end of March!

Duck Mum

Duck Mum is a clear acrylic stamp and we have been sent this lovely concertina card made by one of our teamies, Georgina:

You can separate the three ducks as Georgina has done so use them in lots of ways, the look so good on the concertina card here and Georgina has added one of the little tag sentiments from our Little Beauties stamp sets.

And Georgina has been busy making a card using our Beach Hut set (which we highlighted earlier in the week) - look at the gorgeous beach hut bunting!

Little Claire Likes ......... Bonny Westie's

Good morning, each Monday from today, we will be featuring one of our favourite stamps sharing a small project using one of the super-gorgeous stamp sets and products available on our website. This will include card, papers, dies and embellishments (subject to availability).

Our first project is a card and little tag using 'Bonny Westies', a cute little set of inchy stamps that can be used together or seperated as shown.

 These stamps are very easy to colour in and make a really cute story on your card.  The card is also decorated inside to as shown above.

Here are the products used and instructions for the card featured.

Products used :

Bonny Westie Stamp Set - £6.50

'Mum' Sentiment from 'Dictionary Definition's' - £12.99

'Sweetheart' Pink Bazzill Cardstock - £0.50p - (pack of four 6x6" card)

 'Pink Tartan Pattern' Paper - £0.50p - (pack of four 6x6" papers)
White Fanciful Shaped Card (pack of 10) - £2.50

Cottage Cutz 'Flower # 1 - Layered (3x3) Die - £11.50

Scraps of green cardstock for leaves and bling stones from stash

(Items not available on our website) Scallop circle punch, Magnolia Tag Die and circle cutting dies.

 Instructions for the card :

(1) Stamp out the 'Bonny Westie' image and colour with Promarkers, cut out all squares leaving a slight edge around each square. Stick them onto cardstock and cut around.
(2) Cut out one large and one smaller circle in Pink Tartan paper and one scalloped circle in 'Sweetheart' cardstock.  Using Cottage Cutz dies, cut two flowers out including leaves.
(3) Tie a large bow using ribbon, add small piece of baker's twine and tie a small knot. Tuck ends over scallop and stick down.
(4) Centralise the sentiment and stick squares/embellishments down as shown, around edge of card using some on sticky pads and some with tape.
(5) Add a small bling stone to center of flower.
(6) Stick last scallop card and circle shape down inside card, add remaining two little images and a bling stone.

And if that's not enough - here are the instructions to make yourself a little tag with one of the images from this set:

Instructions for Tag :

(1) Die-cut any tag shape in card and the circle in paper. Stick small hole down. Thread through ribbon and twine, tie as shown.
(2) Colour-in and stick down 'Westie' image.
(3) Add small bling stone to edge.

We've been having a little look back...

...at some of our 'older' designs and there are quite a few that we just can't let go, we love them so much!  And as new customers are finding us all the time it's good to now and again give new life to some of our older designs.
One such design is our original Beach Huts which we introduced a good few years back and it is still a firm favourite:

we have just received these two beauties from our teamie Helen R and here they are ready to share:

We hope you'll agree that our Beach Huts stamp set still deserves to be on display amongst all the new kids on the block (new designs due to be realeased later this month!)

On a personal note, we went to the cinema on Saturday and watched 'The Life of Pi' what a fantastic film, it had us gripped the whole way through, such a good story - well worth going to see, we loved it!

We have been to our Barn today to prepare it ready for re-opening after the Christmas break, we will have lots of new stock coming in during this week so do come and say hello if you are lucky enough to live close by (Wirral, UK), and our classes are filling up pretty fast too, so if you have had your eye on one, act fast!

Little Claire's Weekly Project...Party Invite

Hello Crafters

Its Gemma here, it's my turn for the Little Claire's weekly project so i have a cute little party invite for you and it's a girly one too so without further ado, here's the little cutie...hope you likey!!

Little Claire's: Loverly Jubblies 'Daisy Bunting' stamp

Spellbinders: Scalloped and plain square nesties {i have used the largest in the set}

Spellbinders: Scalloped and plain cirlce nesties {i have used the second largest in the set}

Joy Craft: Flower die

Xcut: Decorative tags

Backing papers {of your choice}

Coloured card {of your choice}

White card

Ribbon {of your choice}

Brads

As you can see in the picture above i have already got my piece's cut out already so it's the case of putting it all together, here's the step by step of how to make it...

1) Attach your choice of ribbon to the large scalloped square with extra tacky tape.

Tip: To make sure it is central i have used the scallops as a guide so make sure there are equal amount of scallops at either side of the ribbon.

2) Stamp your image on to your white circle and then colour parts of the image you aren't paper piecing. Next attach your white stamped circle on to your coloured scalloped circle.

3) Stamp your image again on to your choice of backing, ready for paper piecing.

4) For the paper piecing...cut your chosen parts out of your chosen paper. I have cut out the bunting, balloon and her dress which can be a bit fiddly but i managed it.

5) Now attach your finished image to the scalloped square like in the photo above. On the back on the invite i attached a white square and this is where you add all the details of your party.

6) The next part is the fun part and that's to add all the pretty embellishments to your party invitation like the photo above.

Thanks girls, lovely cards - you have done us proud, Steve's looking forward to taking the samples to all the shows across the country this year to show them off.

Steve had his back operation just before Christmas and thank you for the good wishes, he already feels much better so much so that he is attending his first show of the year on Sunday 13 January at the Nissan Sports and Social club, Sunderland 10am - 4pm - Steve will have lots of our new designs with him (not yet released!) so please drop by if you are in the area.

Friday Project - Daisy Pitcher

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

It is my turn (Georgina) for this weeks Friday Project. The card I have for you has a Spring feeling, with bright colours and flowers. A nice change from all those Christmas cards we have all been making recently. I have tried something different for this card by stamping the Daisy Pitcher image onto the pattern paper and then colouring rather than onto white card.

 

To make this card you will need:
Daisy Pitcher stamp
Sunshine Sentiment stamps
White dots on pale green pattern paper
White card
Dark green card
148x148mm card blank
3mm green ribbon
Lacey Circles Nestabilities
Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad
Black fineliner
Sakura Gelly Roll pens: Pink, Yellow and Green.

White Card Candi

ProMarkers: Forest Green, Cool Grey 4, Cool Grey 5, Yellow, Antique Pink, Cocktail Pink, Baby Pink.

 

 

1. Cut a 7x10.5 cm piece of dotty paper. Stamp the Daisy Pitcher image using the Memento ink pad onto the dotty paper.

 

2. Colour the stamped image with ProMarkers. Colour the heart and highlight the flowers with the Sakura pens.

 

3. Cut a piece 8.5x12 cm of dark green card and 8x11.5 cm of white card.

 

4. Attached the panels together as show below. Draw 'dot-dash' faux stitching around the edge.

 

5. Cut a piece 14.2x14.2 cm of dark green card, 13.5x4 cm and 13.5x8.5 cm of white card, and 13x3.5 cm and 13x8 cm of dotty paper. Attach the pieces as shown below. Draw 'dot-dash' faux stitching around the edge. Attach a strip of green ribbon across the dark green panel before attaching to the card blank.

 

6. Stamp the sentiment onto dotty paper and then  cut out. Die cut a Lacey Circle from white card and attached the circle sentiment to it.

 

7. Attached the Daisy Pitcher image panel and sentiment to the card. Tie a bow from the green ribbon and attached to the card. To finish add Card Candi.
