Friday Project - Butterfly Tree Pyramid card.

Morning everyone, Gaynor here,

Well first week back - and it feels fabulous, batteries recharged and ideas flowing.......and that's just work ha, ha,  I hope each and everyone enjoyed their Christmas and I wish you well for 2014.

On with today's project: A pyramid card - have been fancying a play with this style for a little while and the Friday Project gave me the incentive to play.  I have used the beautiful Butterfly Tree Stamp Set which includes additional stamps which I haven't used in this project.  Once again I have used my trusty promarkers, a little glitter glue and of course adhesive stones.

I cut 3 x 5" squares and scored a fold diagonally.

Using wet glue I joined the three squares together.

Showing both front and back views.

I punched three holes to thread ribbon through to assemble the card.

I threaded through the ribbon prior to adding my chosen pretty paper again using wet glue which allows the opportunity to line up correctly.

Die cut my shape using a nestabilities die and stamped and coloured in the image using the promarkers shown. I also cut a small die for the stamped sentiment.

Assembled the card using 3D foam pads, a couple of butterflies punched using a Martha Stewart Punch.

A little closer to show the embellishments used.

Finished card.

I hope you have enjoyed my little make.  Lots happening recently at Little Claire - delicious new stamps just released and more on the way.  New project challenge also begins tomorrow......
Well that's it from me for now......................xxGaynor

Fridays Project: Henny Penny

 Morning peeps,

Diane here with a cute friday project for you using "Henny Penny"

Corner bookmarks are quick and easy to make and a fab way of using up scraps of patterened paper !!

You will need:
Henny Penny stamp
white card
patterened paper
border punch
3 1/2" circle die/punch
ribbon
1 pearl gem
wet glue
double sided tape

  1. Cut a piece of white card 4"x 4"  and mark the centre point on 3 sides, Score and fold back.

 2. With a border punch, punch bottom edge and then cover front with strips of patterened paper and add some faux stitching.

 3.  Now stamp Henny Penny onto a piece of white card and cut out. Also die cut a white 3 1/2"circle and a white square 2 3/4" cut in half. (you will only need one half)

 4. Paper piece Henny Penny with patterened paper, I have used Papermania's "Burleigh Blue" . Add faux stitching round white circle and cover triangle with paptterned paper.

4. Wrap a piece of ribbon round front and tape down on back of bookmark. Also stick triangle onto back at top to close bookmark top. Then cover ribbon and back with strips of patteren paper.

 5. Now glue white circle onto front and then Henny Penny on top of that. Finish by knotting a small piece of ribbon to left side and adding a small pearl gem to Henny Penny's bow front.

And here's another one using a different combination of the same paper.

Why not brighten someones day by making and giving one as a surprise gift !!

hugs to all, Diane xx
