Thursday Digi Stamp Blog Project

Hi Susan R here!

This is my special Thursday Digi Project for Little Claire!!

I really like these pop-up sentiment cards!
To make this card I have used a lovely digi and Paper from Little Claire
Silhouette Owl Tree
and
Brown Owl Paper

I started with a yellow sparkly card to make the base and then matted and layered with brown card and the Little Claire Brown Owl Paper.
I printed the Owl Tree Silhouette on a different brown card and cut it out.
This is the front side as seen when it comes out of the envelope:

This is a view of the card laid flat, with matting and layering:

Finally I added the sentiment printed on brown card on my computer -

Not Tu-Whit Tu-Whoo
but Tu-Whit Tu-YOU!

For detailed instructions please take a look at my blog but here are the basics:

Instructions
  1. Design your sentiment on the computer then print out the digi paper on thin white card and the digi and sentiment on brown card.
  2. Cut two pieces from a 12 x 12 sheet of yellow card, 4.25 x 8.5 inches and one piece 1.5 in by 4.25 in.
  3. Score the two larger pieces at 1.5 inches and 3 inches.
  4. Fold each with a valley and a mountain fold so that they will fit together as above.
  5. With the small piece, mark 1.5 ins up from the bottom on the left hand side. Score from this point to the corner. Fold with a mountain fold.Stick this with white glue on the back of the front of the card.
  6. Stick the back to the front.
  7. Mat and layer each of the front pieces with brown and owl paper. Mat and layer the small piece that pops out too.
  8. Cut out the owl tree and glue in place.
  9. Trim the Sentiment and stick in place too.

Happy Crafting!!
