Sweet Little Fairy

What better way to start the week than with an inspiring project? (especially as the weather here is the best for staying in and making cards!)
Here is the first of our Weekly Projects which we hope will delight & inspire you:

Sweet Little Fairy - designed by Louise Hall http:// www.crafty-lou.blogspot.com

What you need:

13.5x13.5cm scalloped card blank
12x12cm textured lilac card
Smooth white card
Stamps: Spikey Flower (Little Claire)
Sweet Little Fairy (Little Claire)
Sentiment (from Gerbera set) Little Claire
Ink: Versamark, Memento
Milled Lavender Distress Ink
Nestabilities: Standard Circles Large
Classic Scalloped Circles Large
Purple ribbon
Quickie Glue Pen
Diamond Sparkles
Promarkers: Pink Carnation Amethyst, Leaf Green Satin, Dusky Pink Ivory, Cocoa Tan, Cool Grey 1

Instructions:

1. Stamp Spikey Flower randomly over lilac card with Versamark;

2. Colour Fairy with Promarkers; highlight wings and dandelion with Diamond Sparkles and mount onto lilac scalloped circle;

3. Stamp Dandelion wisps with Distress ink around the edge of the card blank.  Then, stamp the sentiment onto a circle and mount onto a lilac circle.  Highlight the lilac circle with Diamond Sparkles.

4. Tie ribbon around the lilac card and assemble as shown, mounting the image onto 3D foam pads for height.

And there you have your finished card!

Thanks for starting us off Louise x

  1. Thanks for the tutorial, I had completely forgotton about the stamping with Versamark technique so you have inspired me to use it again.

    I think the weekly project idea is a very good one. Not only does it show us how the stamps look on a project but will give us ideas how to use them.

    Great card with sweet image and lovely colours, thanks for sharing.

  14. It would be great to have weekly projects as I love Little Claire stamps and inspiration is always very welcome. Your stall is always one of my first ports of call at craft fairs as I love to see what's new and how you have used the stamps. Keep up the good work.
