and the winner is...

...thank you to everyone who entered our competition to win both sets or our new 'Rebecca's Really Useful Sentiments' stamps, we loved reading your comments, very encouraging, thank you - and without further ado the randomly picked winner is:

Jennifer who said: Love your card, Helen, and what a fabulous idea, Rebecca, to design the interchangable sentiment sets. Such a difficult decision to choose just one favourite, but as I make a lot of baby cards, and help reabilitate native animals for release, (Native Animal Trust), I guess my choice is the second set. Also the little birdies and flowers circle is so versatile.

Thank you for the chance to win one of these great sets.  Hugs, Jennifer. x

Well done to you Jennifer, please send your details to Carol and the two stamp sets will be on their way x

Everyone else - so sorry you didn't win this time, but some good news; you can purchase both stamp sets (rrp. £9.99 each) online for just £17.50 click here

Floral card for lots of occasions...

Hi there! It is my turn (Helen) to share a project with you today. I have made a simple card that can be put together quickly, will work in different colour schemes and can be adapted for lots of different occasions!

You will need
‘Spikey Flowers’ stamp (Little Claire’s): This is currently available as a ‘Dinkies’ stamp and could be used as a smaller image or stamped several times for a bigger image. Alternatively you could use another of Little Claire’s lovely floral stamps. J
White stamping card (Little Claire’s)
Card Blank
Memento ink in ‘Lady Bug’ and ‘Tangelo’
Dark brown cardstock
Patterned papers (Mine are ‘My Mind’s Eye, Notable’)
Small gems
Pearls
Yellow ribbon
Blue ink.
Adhesives: 3D foam pads and glue

1. Stamp out your image onto white card stock,  using a combination of colours on the stamp. Ink very lightly with blue ink before mounting on dark brown card stock and adding gems to the centre of the flowers.

2. Cut out 4 pieces of coordinating paper and mount them onto dark brown card stock. Mine are the following sizes, although you can choose to have your layers different sizes, considering the size of your card blank: 14.5cm x 13.5cm, 10cm x 10cm, 13cm x 5cm and 10cm x 4.5cm.

3. Stick the largest panel to the card base and then the smaller square towards the top left hand side. Arrange the long rectangle as shown and adhere this to the card.

4. Before sticking the smallest rectangle down, attach ribbon and then adhere using 3D foam pads.

5. Stamp out a tag greeting, lightly ink the edges in blue and attach under your bow. Use 3D foam pads to attach the main image to your card.

6. Finally, attach gems to the bottom of your card as shown in the picture and 3 gems to the top right hand corner of the card.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my project, I hope you find it useful! J Helen x

Thursday, 5 June 2014

'Tis Thursday already!

Had lots of problems with our internet this morning groan, BIG GROAN, isn't it such a pain when these technology things decide to go on a go-slow, poor Steve's been at my desk doing his best to fix things, seems he needs to have an in depth look this evening when my chores are over...

And today we want to share with you the release of a FANTASTIC set of sentiment stamps, called
'Rebecca's Really Useful Sentiments - Male & Female'  Here is the Male set:

and here is the Female set - but of course the great thing is you can swap and change as the Female words fit inside the Male circles and vice versa. Great!

These two fantastic stamp sets are the brainchild of one of our customers, Rebecca Roberts who entered our recent competition to design a new stamp for Little Claire, and this is what she did!
Well done Rebecca and thank you for such a good idea.

Each stamp set contains 6 different themed circles (all the same size as our usual circular sentiments) with themes such as Gardening, Driving, Music, Baking, Sports, Walking, Flowers and then lots of names to put inside so for instance, Daughter may like Baking or she may like Music...you choose which one suits the person to whom you are sending your card - great!

Here's a sample of one of the sentiments in use:

designed by Helen N
Helen has stamped 'DAD' into the drinking circle but all of the sentiments have been designed to fit inside the circle, just ready to be swapped and changed!
Each set of sentiment stamps cost £9.99 and they represent really good value - because they are 'really useful sentiments!'

Fancy owning both these stamp sets?

We have one set to giveaway - just leave us a comment telling us which sentiment you think you use the most when making cards and a winner will be announced next Wednesday 11 June 2014.
