Simply Homemade Magazine

Our Design Team member Helen had three of her cards featured in Simply Cards magazine last month and one of them also appeared on the cover of the magazine!

She made three cards using our 'Silhouette Romance' Irresistible Images which you can find here on the website.  There's a great range of these image packs to choose from - all pre-coloured and cut square although you can die cut them into different shapes if you want to.  They are great for quick cards or if you're making cards in bulk.  You can see the whole range here on the website.

Here are the cards:

As well as the image panels, Helen also used a selection of LC Designs Dinkies sentiments - you can find the full range here.

And in keeping with the romantic theme; Helen also created this super make:

Irresistible Images - Roses
With our Irresistible Images pack 'Roses' see the pack here  WOW! isn't this just gorgeous, clean and simple, perfect for a wedding, get well, mum or birthday etc...  we love it!

We will pick 2 lucky winners next Tuesday 02 Feb, good luck!

And here is our lucky winner from last weeks' competition

Jane Willis who said: Wonderful papers and the cards show the versatility of them beautifully. My favourite is the blue dandelion clock card, for the purely personal reason that dandelion clocks are among my absolute favourite images, Jane

Here are two cards from Heidi, a lovely spring feel with the yellow splodge and a panel from our Irresistible Images 'birds' pack:

and another bird image from the same pack with a lovely purple/pink paper:

So we hope you agree, a really useful paper pack in two good sizes - gorgeous!

Competition winners
Last week we asked you to tell us which is your favourite of our 4 new Dinkie stamps and which Dinkie Paper pack is your favourite too, here are our two lucky winners:

Jeni Mc who said: I just love all your papers but seeing Helen's card with the Welly girl dinky stamp and quirky quilt papers it has to be those .The colour scheme fits together so well . Many thanks for the opportunity j

Lou who said: Ooo, tough choice. I think welly girl has to be my favourite stamp as it reminds me of the way my mum used to dress me when I was little! I also have welly girl with the umbrella already and I really love that one. As for the papers, they're all so pretty! If pushed for a choice I would have to go with the stripy pack as there's always so much you can do with stripes. Lou x

Well done ladies, please contact Gill with your details to receive your prize.

Susan R's Thursday Project for LC Designs

Hi Susan R here
Today I am showing you my Thursday Project for LC Designs

I am spotlighting
and the image
Hedgehog with flowers
I have this as a Dinkie with the sentiment
"A Birthday Squish for you"
but it is also available as a digi
Here is my project - an exploding box...

Instructions

Stamp the image and sentiment and add colour with Promarkers. Trim and add to two circular die cuts - I used two from Nellie's Multi Frames MFD049 - Round  3 (bought in Abu Dhabi but only used for the first time NOW - I left Abu Dhabi about 3 years ago!!)

Score and trim 3 cross shapes based on 4in, 3.5in and 3 in squares. Decorate as required.
I used various papers from my stash.

This was the 4in square cross decorated both sides with quilts.
Add the 3in square cross - I decided to leave this plain.

Add the 3in square cross.

This was decorated with 'Irresistible images'
with the sentiment in the middle.

The lid is based on a 4.25 square with fold over and in tabs.

I decorated this with one of the DP's used inside and the image.

Here is the box with the lid on...

And that's it!!

Happy Crafting!
