We Have a Winner! Introducing ..... Bert and Mary!

Brand New Cutie Patootie Stamps!

Weekly Project - Blissful Rocker Card

Today we've also got another weekly blog project for you and this week it's this beautiful rocker card made by Heike using the 'Blissful' stamp.
Here's what you need:
white cardstock for stamping
textured cardstock in white, light pink, burgundy, light blue, dark blue and green
circle cutter
punch or die for small swirls
butterfly dies or punches
flower and leaf dies or punches
Promarkers - Almond, Blush, Pastel Pink, Burgundy, Cornflower, Tan, Cinnamon, Umber, Marsh Green, Ice Grey 1
adhesive
 
 
And here's how you make the card:
 
 
1. Cut a circle with a diameter of approximately 15cm from white cardstock and a circle measuring approximatley 12cm in diameter from the burgundy cardstock.

2. Fold the circles in half and mount on top of each other

3. Cut a piece of white stamping cardstock measuring 6.5cm by 9cm and round the corners.  Stamp the Blissful image in black ink.
4. Colour in the stamped image using the Promarkers listed above.
5. Cut a piece of burgundy cardstock measuring 7cm by 9.5cm and a piece of light pink cardstock measuring 7.5cm by 10 cm.  Round the corners and mount the coloured image on to these.
6. Cut or punch out small swirls from the light pink cardstock.  Arrange on the front and back of the rocker base then add the topper with the stamped image on it.

7. Arrange the die cut or punched flowers and leaves on the card.  Add adhesive gemstones to the centres of the flowers.
8. Finish off with two die cut or punched butterflies.

New Red Gingham Stamps!


We were going to give you another sneak peek today at one of the stamps from our brand new Red Gingham range but ..... they're now online!  Have a look here to see the full range including owls, a hedgehog, cats, a dog, a tortoise and elegant poppies (as previewed earlier in the week).

So, instead of just a preview, we're now showing you a range of cards made by our talented Design Team using the owl stamps!  The first one (above) was made by Donna who has also used some of the Gingham Peel Offs on her card.

Xavier's wonderful Pointsettia christmas card.

Sneak Peek Day 3 - Another Cutie Patootie!

We hope you're enjoying the sneak peeks we've been giving you this week of our new stamp designs!

Today we've got a card made by Gaynor with one of the stamps from the 'Cutie Patootie' range - this time showing both of the little characters together on a swing.  Aren't they sweet?!  Gaynor has also used one of the sentiments from the Red Gingham 'Sentiments Mix' set together with some beautiful embellishments.

Sneak Peek - Day 2


We're back again today with another sneak peek at the stamps from our four new ranges which are launching at the NEC between 3 and 6 November (see us at stand A45). 

Today, we've got a gorgeous card made with one of the stamps from our stamps from our new Red Gingham range made by Georgina and she has also used one of the brand new circle sentiments stamps which are being launched to compliment the Red Gingham range.  The sentiment here features poppies to compliment the poppy design you can see here.

Again Georgina has used one of our new concertina tag cards which we sell in pack of 10 for £4.50 - you can find them here.

First Sneak Peek and a Chance to Win!

A big thank you to everyone who came to see us at the show at Doncaster - we hope everyone had a great day!

Now to this week's news! 

We are about to launch four brand new ranges of stamps and throughout this week we're going to be giving you a sneak peek at cards made by our talented Design Team members using the stamps.  Today's gorgeous card has been made by Maxine using two of the stamps from our new 'Cutie Patootie' range - six stamps featuring the two sweet little characters you can see on Maxine's card.
Maxine has also used two stamps from the Red Gingham 'Sentiments Mix' set and one of our new tag cards - her card is absolutely beautiful!

We're offering one lucky person the chance to win a complete set of all six 'Cutie Patootie' stamps - all you have to do is to leave us a comment and let us know what you think the characters should be called.  On Monday 31 October we'll pick out our favourite names and these will feature on the future packaging for the stamp range.

Weekly Project - Desk Memo Tutorial


Today we've got another weekly blog project for you and this week it's from Maxine who has made this beautiful desk memo set.

Here's what you will need:


Calendar pad
Memo pad
Glue or double sided tape
2 pieces of 8" by 8" patterned paper
1 8" by 8" card blank
pen
die cut oval (to stamp the image on)
diecut scalloped oval (to mat and layer the image)
score board
2 gems to use as stoppers
Promarkers - Sandstone, Leaf Green Meadow Green
Flexmarkers - Tea Rose, Water Melon, Pink Pearl, Wild Orchid

1. Stamp the image and colour using Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  Mat and layer the image.


2. Take the blank card, fold one side into the centre and score - this makes the easel.

3. Cut the backing papers down to fit the base of the easel and the front of the easel.



4. Stick the gems on the base to keep the easel in place.  Stick the image to the left side of the easel and the calendar and memo pad to the base.

5. To make the pen holder, use the left over backing paper from the easel and cut a piece measuring 7cm by 7.5cm.  Score at 1.5cm intervals along the 7.5cm side.


6. Stick the sides together.


7. The stick the tube to the right side of the easel (if your backing paper is thin, you might need to back it with card for support).  Add the pen to the pen holder.

Saturday 10 December 2011 - Thornton Hough Village Hall, Wirral - we will be here all day and we have arranged 'speed crafting' card making sessions throughout the day, running for 1 hour where we will have exceptional card designs ready for you to make - ALSO - we have 1 hour sessions where you can make the most beautiful Christmas Bunting for your home all using our gorgeous Little Claire designs!

The cost p/session is just £5.00 and we really have gone to town with this one - we want one last celebration of card making before the Christmas holidays, so if you come along be prepared for fun, food, drink and lots & lots of inspiration!

This day is open to everyone as our shop will be open all day for you to feel free to just call in and shop with us before the holidays - but PLEASE contact us to book in advance if you would like a place on one of our sessions - just £5.00 - why not book both sessions, bring a friend and enjoy a great day crafting, eating & shopping.......heaven?

What a Lovely Weekend and a Chance to Win!

We had an amazing day on Saturday at Crawley when 25 ladies came to spend 'A Day With Little Claire' - you can see them all hard at work in the photo above!
The ladies did two classes, hosted by Gill together with DT members Heidi and Georgina - special thanks to Georgina who thought she was just coming to watch and ended up helping out!
We're already planning our next day in Crawley in May of next year so if you're interested, please give us a call or e-mail info@littleclaire.co.uk and we'll keep your details on file until everything has been finalised.

The on Sunday we were at the show at Biggin Hill - a big thank you to everyone who came to say hello and we hope you enjoyed the show.

We're planning lots more classes and events for next year and we'd love to hear you ideas about what classes you would like to go to - it could be techniques, themes or any other ideas you've got.  We'll do a draw on Friday at midday from all of the comments left by then and will choose three lucky people at random to receive a 'Star of Wonder' stamp to help with their Christmas card making!

Christmas Tag Card Plus an Exciting Weekend Ahead!


Here's a gorgeous Christmas tag card made by Maxine one of our talented Design Team members.  Maxine has used the Red Gingham Christmas Text die cuts together with some beautiful embellishments and our brand new Gingham Peel Offs which are perfect for adding that finishing touch to your project.  Maxine has used the red and green foiled Gingham peel offs but the pack also contains sheets in gold foil, black, baby pink and baby blue so they're perfect for projects all year round.

The base card that Maxine has used is one of our brand new tag cards which come in a variety of colours and will be on the website next week.
This weekend is an exciting one for the Little Claire team!  On Saturday we'll be at Crawley for our day of classes - hello to everyone who's coming to spend the day with us!

Weekly Project - Splishing and Splashing


This week's blog project was made by Helen R who has used the very cute 'Splishing and Splashing' stamp to make this cute card.  You can find the stamp (plus more card examples) here on the website. 

This is what you'll need to make the card:

Black cardstock
Purple cardstock
Lacey Squares Nestabilities
Sentiment
Purple ink pad
Promarkers - Vanilla, Meadow Green, Tan, Cinamoon, Blue Pearl, Lavender, Lilac

1. First stamp the image on to the white stamping card using the black Memento ink then cut the image out using the Lacey Squares Nestabilities.
2. Colour the image using Promarkers.
3. Cut another Lacey Square using purple cardstock.  Mount the main image on to the purple piece, overlapping them slightly to creat a shadow effect.
4. Cut a piece of lilac gingham paper measuring 11.5cm by 11.5cm and mount on to black cardstock.  The cut a rectangle 13.5cm by 3.5cm from the green dot paper and again mount on to black cardstock.

5. Ink the edge of the card blank and sentiment using purple ink.

6. Arrange the different elements on a 14.5cm square card blank as shown in the photo below.  The long rectangle and main image are mounted using foam pads.
7. Add the sentiment to the card along with 3 pieces of Card Candi coloured with the Meadow Green Promarker.
